Tuesday’s Betway Premiership action sees Mamelodi Sundowns bid to go top of the standings when they host Marumo Gallants

Coming into the game Downs are in second place with 47 points, 1 point behind league leaders Pirates who have played one game more. Pirates are not in action in midweek and after they were held to a draw at the weekend victory for Sundowns here will see a change of leadership in what looks like a 2 horse race for the title.
At the weekend Sundowns were 3-0 winners at home to Stade Malien in the first leg of their CAF Champions League quester final and in erms of Betway Premiership form things are also looking very positive. Since their only Betway Premiership defeat of the season away to Golden Arrows on the 24th September Sundowns are unbeaten in their last 11 league outings and they have taken maximum points from each of the last seven
Marumo Gallants
After starting the season well Gallants are finding it really tough going with just 1 win in their last 11 league games. That victory came in their penultimate outing, 3-1 away to Chippa United and Gallants are third from bottom with 18 points, ahead of Orbit College on goal difference and 4 points better off than bottom of the table Magesi who have a game in hand.
Gallants can at least take some encouragement from their two previous meeting with Sundowns this season. They beat Downs in the Carling Knockout in a penalty shoot out in October (0-0 90 mins) whilst the first league meeting of the campaign finished all square at 1-1

At the time of writing Sundowns are priced at 2/9 to win the game with the draw at 19/4 and Gallants can be backed at 14/1

The Verdict:
Downs CAF Champions League game at the weekend went very smoothly and they might well have plenty left in the tank to get the win they need to edge in front in the title race. I’m with 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 in the multi score market.
