Six English Premier League matches take place on Tuesday 30th December and we have a play for all the games including Arsenal v Aston Villa

Prices quoted are correct at the time of publication but subject to change.

Burnley v Newcastle

Burnley are without a win in their last 9, seven straight defeats and draws at Bournemouth and at home to Everton and they remain second bottom with 12 points, 6 from safety.

Newcastle’s only win in their last 5 league games came at home to their opponents here, 2-1 earlier this month. Since then they have lost road trips at Sunderland and Man United (both 1-0) either side of a 2-2 draw at home to Chelsea.

Newcastle’s away form is poor and they have been missing a few key players in defence however Burnley aren’t in the sort of form to be backed to take advantage with any degree of confidence. Woltemade anytime is a pretty unimaginative call.

Bet: Anytime goalscorer Nick Woltemade at 12/10 with Pokerbet

Chelsea v Bournemouth

Chelsea went down 2-1 at home to Villa last time out, they have won just 1 of their last 6 league games (alongside 2 draws and 2 defeats) and have slipped down to fifth place, not 10 points shy of third placed Villa and 13 shy of league leaders Arsenal. They played out a 0-0 draw at Bournemouth earlier this month.

Bournemouth are without a win in their last 9 league games (4 draws and 5 defeats) and have slid down to fifteenth. They continue to ship goals away from home and after a 4-1 defeat at Brentford last time out they have now conceded 27 in 9 road trips.

Bournemouth’s capacity for conceding on their travels is scary and I’m with Chelsea to score 2-3 in their multi goals market

Bet: Chelsea multi goals 2-3 at even money with Sportingbet

Notts Forest v Everton

Forest made Man City work hard in a 2-1 home defeat last time out and they remain fourth from bottom 5 points clear of West Ham.

Everton were 3-0 winners at home to Forest earlier this month but since then they have lost at Chelsea and at home to Arsenal and last time out they drew 0-0 at Burnley and they haven’t scored in that sequence.

If Forest can find a repeat of the performance level they put in against City this would look very winnable. Igor Jesus was a handful for the City defence in that game and he gets the anytime vote

Bet: Anytime goalscorer Igor Jesus at 29/10 with Sportingbet

West Ham v Brighton

Since drawing 1-1 at Brighton 4 games ago third bottom West Ham have lost at home to Villa (3-2), at Man City (3-0) and most recently 1-0 at home to Fulham, a defeat that really has the alarm bells ringing.

Brighton are without a win in their last 5 league games, 3 defeats and 2 draws but they made Arsenal work hard for a 2-1 win at The Emirates last time out and they are just below half way in the standings.

Mitoma was working his way back to fitness before falling ill at Xmas but he has reportedly recovered and he can provide an assist Brighton

Bet: Player assists, Mitoma, 1 or more at 4/1 with Sportingbet

Arsenal v Aston Villa

Top takes on third and Arsenal have been cutting it fine lately with minimum margin wins at home to Wolves and Brighton either side of a 1-0 victory at Everton. The Gunners remain 2 points clear of Man City (who visit Sunderland on Thursday) and 3 clear of their opponents here who beat them 2-1 at Villa Park earlier this month.

Villa have reeled off 8 straight EPL wins to gatecrash the title race. They came from behind to win 2-1 at Chelsea last time out and they have also won at West Ham, Brighton and Leeds in their impressive run of form.

Arsenal have been doing just enough while Villa have been amazing and this will tell us more about the visitors title credentials. I just think Arsenal always have at least a couple of goals in them at home and I’ll go 2-3 in their multi marlet

Bet: Arsenal multi goals, 2-3 at 11/10 with Sportingbet

Man United v Wolves

United are missing key men to injury and AFCON but their 1-0 home win over Newcastle last time out saw them finish the round in sixth place, level on points with Chelsea and 3 behind fourth placed Liverpool.

Wolves have lost 11 straight league games and remain rock bottom with just 2 points. They can take heart from gallant performances in 2-1 defeats at Arsenal and most recently Liverpool in their last 2 road trips but they were thumped 4-1 by United when the teams met earlier in December.

I’ll speculate in the goalscorer market here and Diogo Dalot is not to be overlooked in my opinion.

Bet: Anytime goalscorer, Dalot at 8.25/1 with Sportingbet
