Betting tips for the English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday 29thAugust including Liverpool vs Notts Forest, Bournemouth vs Everton, Coventry vs Hull and Spurs vs Newcastle
Liverpool vs Notts Forest
At the time of writing Liverpool were close to sealing a big money move for Bradley Barcola from PSG and that would give new boss Andoni Iraola a boost after his side needed a late penalty to salvage a point from a 2-2 draw at Newcastle on the opening weekend. Gakpo, who is subject to transfer speculation himself, had equalized an early Newcastle goal in that game and after Liverpool quickly fell behind again it was down to Dominik Szoboszlai to convert a 99th minute spot kick.
Oliver Glasner's first game in charge of Forest ended in disappointment as they conceded a 90th minute goal in their 1-0 home defeat to Leeds. They hosted Leeds again in the Carabao Cup in midweek and went down 2-0 so they are have yet to find the net this season. Liam Delap’s arrival from Chelsea this week will give Forest another option up front.
Verdict
Forest have failed to score in 2 home games and my gut fell is that although they can push Liverpool hard, the home side are capable of scoring in both halves

Bournemouth vs Everton
Bournemouth and new boss Marco Rose threatened a surprise for much of their opening game away to Manchester City but they went down 2-1. Marcus Tavernier gave them a 26th minute lead which they held until conceding in the 84th minute and City found the winner in he first minute of stoppage time.
Everton will be satisfied with their results from the first week of competition. Goals from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Thierno Barry either side of half-time gave them a 2-0 home win over Palace in the opening round of the EPL and in midweek they thrashed Preston 4-0 away from home in the Carabao Cup with Thierno Barry coring a hat trick and Brennan Johnson opening his account for the club
Verdict
A difficult one to call and I’ll sit on the fence and go with a draw.

Coventry vs Hull
Coventry had the toughest possible start to life in the EPL when they visited Arsenal in the opening round and they barley laid a glove on the champions in a 3-0 defeat. They were in EFL Cup action in midweek and they came way from Plymouth with a 4-2 win.
In contrast to Coventry Hull’s opening match at home to Man United could hardly have gone better as they came through with a 2-0 victory. Goals from defenders Semi Ajayi and Nobel Mendy secured the win to give Hull something to build on. In midweek a Carabao Cup tie away to Championship side Stoke saw much changed Hull win on spot kicks after a 1-1 draw.
Verdict
Although last season’s head to heads both finished 0-0 Coventry finished streets ahead of Hull in the Championship last season. However both sides have brought in a number of new players for their returns to the EPL and this will tell us plenty about who has recruited the better. Right now, I’m reserving judgement and going with the draw.

Spurs vs Newcastle
Spurs have been spending big in this window but their opening league game away to Brentford saw them comfortably beaten 3-0. Omar Marmoush (loan) and Savio (£75m) from Man City joined this week and Savio scored and provided an assist in the 5-1 home win over Charlton in EFL Cup in midweek.
Newcastle twice led at home to Liverpool last week thanks to goals from Goals from Anthony Elanga and Joe Willock but they had to settle for a 2-2 draw. A brace from Harvey Barnes helped them to a 3-2 home win over West Brom in the Carabao Cup and Nico Gonalez has arrived from Man City to bolster the midfield.
Verdict
Spurs can only improve on last week’s display at Brentford and they will need to if they are to get off the mark. With the attacking reinforcements I’m with th hosts to score at least twice,
