Two more English Premier League matches take place on Sunday and we have tips for Aston Villa v Fulham and Newcastle v Arsenal

Prices quoted are correct at the time of publication but subject to change.

The first of Sunday's games sees Aston Villa host Fulham. Villa's 1-0 win over Bologna in the Europa League on Thursday was their first victory in any competition this season. They have taken just 3 points from 5 EPL matches and are third from bottom of the standings. Villa scored their first league goal of the season in a 1-1 draw at 10 man Sunderland last Sunday, their earlier home games delivered a 0-0 draw with Newcastle (Villa played a chunk of the game with 10 men) and a miserable 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

Fulham are looking for a third straight win after seeing off Leeds (1-0) and then Brentford (3-1) in their last 2 home games. On the road they struck late to claim a 1-1 draw at Brighton on the opening weekend and they went down 2-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. With 8 points Fulham finished the previous round in the top 8.

This is a tricky call as Villa are still not convincing despite a Europa League win in midweek. I fancy the draw.

Newcastle take on Arsenal at St. James Park in the game of the round. Newcastle made progress in their defence of the EFL Cup in midweek and return to league action in the bottom half of the standings with a record of 1 win, 3 draws and 1 defeat. In their most recent home game they were 1-0 winners against Wolves and last weekend they played out a 0-0 draw at Bournemouth, their third goalless stalemate in 3 away fixtures. One earlier EPL home game was a thriller but after coming from 2-0 down with 10 men against Liverpool they conceded at the death and lost 3-2. Newcastle also lost 2-1 to Barcelona here in the UCL.

Arsenal have started the new EPL campaign with 3 wins, a 1-0 defeat at Liverpool and last week's 1-1 draw at home to Man City where they equalized deep into injury time. The wins, at Man United (1-0) and at home to Leeds (5-0) and Forest (3-0) all came with a clean sheet, they also won 2-0 in Bilbao in the UCL. The gap between Arsenal and league leaders Liverpool stood at 5 points after the dust settled on the Gameweek 5 results. Arsenal have a few players including Saka building up minutes after making their way back to full fitness but Noni Madueke is expected to be out for a few weeks with an injury picked up against City.

In earlier big games at home to Liverpool and Barca Newcastle played well but came up just short and I'm with Arsenal to come out on top

Bets: Arsenal to win at 11/10 with Betway
