2 outsiders for me
Race 2 - Hatta @ 20/1
Gets appie claim and first time over distance. From Dame side could be looking for this sort of trip and worth a shot as trainer sometimes through's up a surprise.
Race 3 - Chatty Cathy @ 25/1
On last run to Mission Beach and Legend has it on Turf, there is a 5kg and 4kg swing in weights for 1l and 0.75l beating. Not worse form on Poly either and other 2 are 4/1 and 5/1. Worth ago at those prices.
All the best

Looks a card where we can make some money and my confidence is doing my psyche a world of good!
Just a comment wrt to some heavy hitting on my Jhb form and am abashed to say that i was the loser in terms of value yesterday. However i cannot blame anyone and it is acceptable if we all gained.
Apart from the third race i have one or two others for the day and will post later on the morning.
All things being said i make the daughter of Razzle Dazzle Rose a good thing should all be well with her.She has gained the experience and unlike in her first two starts the opposition she faces appear straight forward so to speak. The price is'nt what we looking for but we must be grateful of a win.The exacta spot should be filled by either of the next two in the betting and am guessing the Ennion runner will make it 3-1 with Imperial Ballet as the latter does come from a wide draw.

Here is a look at the betting
Sweet Future 18/10
Celestial Love 2/1 from an opening call of 23/10
Singforafa 8/1
Gallic Proincess 17/2
Tropic Sun 17/2
Rio's Winter 10/1
Sarah 10/1
Pool Party 33/2
Dancing Queen 25/1
Sweet Future has won four in a row so deserves top spot but imo up in class.Singforafa ran a poor race at Scottsville and will need to imrove. My fancy to win is the Moffatt trained Rio's Winter and Muzi gets on her for the first time. She held her own in Grade 1 compny over a mile and will work in her favour
Imo Tropic Sun and in particular Sarah are her main opposition
It's a quality field and we can expect a good pace in this race.

Aragosta

Happy And Glorious
Noble Striker
Tinder Dry
Winter With Jo
will finish ahead
8./10 to place.
Trainers always thinking ahead, they dealing with valuables, was given an education and 20m past the post in that run and with momentum he was in front,no stick.God

Has the GR1 and GR2 form to trouble this field if back to best. Made to do the donkey work last time out for stablemate and stayed on strongly from outside draw. Not stable jockey but seen this before on Tarry runners.
T4 Pyromaniac 4/1.
Very green on debut win and like typical Tarry 2yr olds should show massive improvement next run up. I liked the dam and think he can trouble the filly fav.
T5 Tropic Sun 8/1 ew.
Just staying local to her as been kind to me, seems to have found her mojo and while does need to continue to show improvement to topple favourite, will take my chances at bigger price.
T6 Seehaam 7/2.
Not a race I’m getting overly involved in but will pop Seehaam in again after a really disappointing run last time out. Track was a bit sticky that day, but 2000m looks her trip on breeding.
T7 Winter Stories 20/1 ew.
I know top 2 in betting on day look hard to oppose, but Marwing yard 3 winners last 7 runners, and Yeni on board knows him well. Clearly has issues as lightly raced but will be coming to track fit and ready.
T8 cracking race, what more can you ask, 3 of the very best to fight it out.
Tough to pick a winner – SP made to work last time but still won with ease over trip short of best. Gotthegreenlight – trainer sounding bullish. Malmoos –had a busy campaign but won with a bit to spare last time. My big concern here is where does the pace in race come from? Might just try a fun interest straight line trifecta – 1. GTGL 2.M 3. SP.
T10 Lazy Guy 25/1 ew.
Yard had a double midweek and interesting jockey change here today.
Good racing.

Race 2 - Full Mast @ 25/1
An old fav of mine, and remember likes the soft going, gets top jock in Bling, and with
Race 3 - Kwazzi's Lady @ 25/1
Fav looks really hard to beat, but Laird/Khumalo combination has been profitable for me to follow. Horse won well last time in the soft I thought and with Heaven's Girl looks big dangers if Fav doesn't win.
Race 4 - Captains Run @ 40/1
Now you can put me into the mental institute with this one. top 2 of the board look hard to beat, but this one has impressed me and likes the cut in the ground. Drawn on right side and Spies stable always seems to do well with juveniles.
Race 5 - Gaellic Princess @ 9/1
This one has done well and drawn right side. getting weight from both Tropic Sun and also very consistent. Only horse on previous runs having to give weight to is Signforafa, but I think she is better of 1000m. Just my opinion. Celestial Love has been very good to me but just not sure if ready to carry that weight against older horses.
Race 6 - Saragon @ 25/1
Old fav of mine and seems to be finding some form. On the weights seems to hold Seeham and Sparkling Water. Getting 8kg from Seeham for 7l beating and the run for Seeham in soft didn't seem to like.
Race 7 - Anna Capri @ 40/1
Drawn wrong side but extremely pacy and could surprise.
Race 8 - Baharin @ 40/1
Top 3 look hard to beat but this one loves some cut in the ground, and once was thought a top horse. Will include in boxed quartet with South's 3.
Race 9 - Imperial Ruby @ 13/1
African Adventure looks hard to beat at weights, but I have followed this one and will do again.
All weighted to places, enjoy the racing

Edit;Commentary for race 5 a grade 2 event wasn't befitting a maiden race at Fairview
Go look from the 400m

Its a video to illustrate a few points.
When he sets the fractions very early on in the race it is clear to me that the horse has really been trained well. Her action is a trainers dream.
The jockey is truly a master and it was a plan well executed. He set up the pace and the rest on the outside fell for his plans.Dropped ooff the he makes his way back into the race and slowly cajoles his mount to win it on the line.Great race and an admirable display of riding and not to forget the trainer's worth.
An aside is that those responsible for removing sand racing from our history had no respect for the game
Enjoy!

ps live 120km south and the wind yesterday was sw.We had a short but heavy downfall around 715pm so i can imagine some deliberation on whether to switch to the poly as greyville does not really handlle much rain

Race 2 - Kaapse Meisie @ 25/1
Not much form to go on, but jockey booking caught my eye. Has unbelievable record with stable and stable has been known to pop up every so often.
Race 3 - Coral Copy @ 11/1
Sibling Coral Tree was decent over distance, and what looks like a very open race worth ago.
Race 4 - Wildlife Safari @ 50/1
Has had some really good runs over distance, well drawn. With fav at 7/1 looks very open.
Race 5 - Silver Operator @ 25/1
Looks like has a lot to do with fav's but only had 3 runs distance and won all 3. Earlier runs were impressive against top sorts.
Race 7 - Batholdi @ 50/1
One I have followed, looks completely out and all to do, but I have rated this horse, so big step up but good draw and top jock.
Hoping something surprises and I can play the last 3.
Enjoy the racing
