Durban July this week and look forward to seeing what everyone's backing.

Winning Form Greyville Monday preview

goodforthegame.co.za/Racing/greyville-mo...rse-racing-tips.html

GFTG syndicate has Loving the Victory carded in the 8th race on Monday. Came out the maidens with a cracking win from gate 12 last time out and once again has the outside gate today for first handicap run. Horse is well, interesting to see how she goes and lets hope she can earn a cheque

All this week's racing tips are most welcome here

A busy week ahead and worried prices might shorten as they tend to do on July, so i'm letting the cat out the bag early on this -

Durban July - Kommetdieding @ 12.5/1 (Hollywoodbets)

I don't think it a bigger price about, not from what i've seen.

Gavin Lerena hopefully all the work he's putting in to get down to 53kg, which i think must be the lowest for him for many years, will hopefully pay off. Outside draw a concern but we know last year winner was gate 17, in fact top 3 were 17/13/18 gates.

Need to study the cracking undercard but had to take the 25/2 now before goes.

Very grateful to Ou Ryperd who contacted me out of the blue yesterday to offer this entertaining piece with pen pics for the July field and all comments are welcome

goodforthegame.co.za/Durban-July-Pen-Pic...an-july-runners.html

Ou Ryperd's top 4

1st Got the Greenlight 5/2

2nd Do It Again 7/1

3rd Rainbow Bridge 5/1

4th Linebacker 4/1

He is brassing Kommetdieding but I'm with Southpaw, I think he is a runner, will be spot on for this, had trouble with the turn first run in KZN but subsequently mastered it, admittedly draw 18 a negative but not impossible

Reasonable Durban July Offer
For the smaller horse racing punters like myself I think the July offer at Sportingbet is pretty decent (No I don't work for them but I do sponsor them on the golf). If your winning pick finishes second or third money back in free bets up to 1K and they support this site.

July Day Race 1

I like the look of Winter Renegade, currently about 6/1 was a couple of points bigger when betting came out. Won first time out and I think that will prove a strong form line over the coming weeks. Drawn 2 compared to favourite coming out of gate 12.

July Day Race 10

Abosultely wide open betting heat but 16/1 for Cabo de Cruz looks big to me well drawn at 3. Going on 27th Feb form at Kenilworth Cabo finished less than 1.5 lengths behind Capoeira (currently 11/2 joint fav). Admittedly Capoeria had the worst of the draw that day but Cabo is 4.5kg better off.

Thanks to Jason and South. Really enjoyed the preview and Brent for hosting.

I like the following for tomorrow:

Race 1 - Juliet Tango @ 7/1
Was on this 1st time out at big odds and remember stable saying they rated her. Stable/Jock have a very good strike rate.

Race 2 - One More Trick @ 50/1
I know big outsider but I like the Dame, won first time out and showed pace early. Can't get hurt at this price and will take swingers with Bard of Avon/Captain Lannister

Race 3 - Shareholder @ 40/1
On last run to Silver Host over 2400m getting 5kg's for 5.5l beating. Huge price difference and hoping we can get a KZN winner.

Race 6 - Good Traveler @ 8/1
Really good KZN form, and looks an open race. Should hold a few on the Cosmic Highway run using Party Time as line horse. Will take Swingers with Gaelic Chief/AJ's Captain.

Race 7 - Will follows South and Jason. I have some nice on them from the Card call'. I also really like Nexus.

Race 10 - Pinkerton @ 7/1

Enjoy the day.
