United Rugby Champs Rd 4, Bunnings NPC, Gallagher Prem, Top 14 15-17 Oct

It was a weekend where I went down early when the newsletter bet (Taranaki minus 7.5) missed by a point and although I had a few wins including a Stormers/Bulls handicap double I had a very poor Sunday and ended up having a bad weekend undoing all of last weeks gains.

There are a few days to put that out of my mind though and plenty of live rugby to look forward to

Let's start with my URC handicap projections for SA games - although I was close last week I still have very little confidence as have not seen all of the teams play

Dragons +4.5 v Stormers
Ulster -14.5 v Lions
Edinburgh +4.5 v Bulls
Cardiff +0.5 v Sharks

There is also Gallagher Prem, Bunnings and Top 14 action

A tasty little treble in Gallagher Premiership, too good to not share:
Exeter Chiefs -4.5
Leicester Tigers -5.5
Saracens -7.5
@ Sunbet: 6.19

There's some good stuff available early days on both Gallagher and URC.
Going to be a good weekend this :)

Actually much rather go

Irish -1
Wasps +5
and Worcester +7
Bath +8 here

Gloucester are fucking shit. Irish wont lose 2 games in a row at home esp not to this mob, Glouc forwards wont be able to hammer Irish like Tigers did. This match will be high in pts if dry. I ahd Irish around -7 for this match.

Exeter away record generally isnt good and Wasps at home on the plus, I will be happy to take.

The way Leic play, one cant possibly punt them on a big minus away from home. If they win, it will be by small margin, given their perference for taking 3 pts and Ford booting the shit out of everything. Problem is V Staden and Montoya might start but Worc will score tries here imo and this will be close. I will be staggered if Leic wins this easily.

Same reason for Sarries as well, they are not gonna smash Bath here imo. Its just the way they play. This will be a grind if they win this match. Bath showed some good stuff v Bristol, if they played like they did 2 weeks ago, with home support, they can win this. This is a 50-50 match imo esp I imagine Simpson and Cip will start together, Underwood will play, Toby Falteau too? +8pts is a good pt imo

See I am very different from the bookmakers this week

Dragons +4.5 v Stormers (-3.5)
Ulster -14.5 v Lions (-20.5)
Edinburgh +4.5 v Bulls (-2.5)
Cardiff +0.5 v Sharks (-4.5)

I guess I was hoping for -14.5 Ulster but I think the other 3 SA teams all have good winning shouts

Dragons looked good (for a change!) away on the weekend against Connacht and are currently -3 for the Stormers here in the UK.. I fancy that but I'm on such a horrendous losing streak that anybody else would be wise to bet the opposite of what I say! :-)

Personally think Exeter are going to blow away Wasps this week weekend. Happy to see the line has now generally moved to -6.5 from -3.5 early market.

Saints made some poor calls on Saturday and really should have won. Wasps now have a banned hooker adding to key shortages in area. Don’t see them keeping within 10 points.

Always unders on her games! So technical and kills the game. Just don't say anything about it on Twitter. You'll be stoned in public by the liberals. Been there, done that.

I see betfair exchange have ireland vs new zealand priced up in internationals and you can get new zealand minus 10 at 2.04 thats bargain I've taken some of that before it goes quickly. Betfair exchange seems to be the best for big stakes punters with no restrictions like other bookies

One of the bookies (BoomBet -small Aussie one) has listed the Makos vs Bay of Plenty game in NPC under "NEW ZEALAND MITRE 10 CUP FRIENDLIES-21" while the rest of the games are under "NEW ZEALAND MITRE 10 CUP REGULAR SEASON-21". Haven't seen this anywhere else and can't find info about it - anyone heard whispers about that?? Was about to place a small play on Makos 1-12 however will hold off for now.

Honda lads ,

My worst beginning to a weekend is losing on a Friday and a morning to boot. No idea how Northland failed to cover their cap but there were awful butchers.

But tonight we have a chance to get out of it and hit Saturday right in the bollocks.

Sale on the plus 2.5 at 8/10 and under 52.5 at 5/7 , weighted heavily on the unders.

Under 47.5 in the Dragons game is golden at 5/7

Ulster over 34.5 points.

Play well lads

For Treviso vs Ospreys taking under 48 (bet365, 1.72), smaller double of Osprey win/under 46.5 (sportsbet, 4.00) which I think is overpriced - they have Osprey -3.5/under 46.5 at $3.10

Right , ;looking forward to today's action .
Early games,
Glasgow should cover the cap and have taken a small strike on minus 10.5 , Scottish sides can be disappointing though.
Points at 45.5 too low s o will look at an in running to go unders at a bigger level.
Under 18.5 pts Zebre and over 30.5 Glasgow .

Ospreys have gone out by a point, plus 4.5 medium bet.

Wasps plus 9.5 at 5/7 medium bet .

And a look at overs possibly at 49.5 , with Wayne Barnes honking the horn

Just noticed a new market on Topsport for Aussies here, either team to win by under 11.5, 9.5, 7.5, 6.5 and 4.5 points. Is a market to keep an eye out for value - playing either by u9.5 in Lyon vs Toulouse (1.92) and a cover on either by u11.5 (1.64) as well

Even for the weekend.
Been a number of away wins in the Top14, think that might continue in Lyon v Toulouse
Toulouse win @ 1.91
