Not a weekend I will remember fondly and not for betting reasons - the cancellation of the URC matches in SA was very disappointing and after waking up on Saturday morning in better spirits I sent out the newsletter only for the Barbarians v Samoa match , the focus of the Best Bet, to be cancelled as well

Overall a broke square winning on overs in Connacht and losing on the Sale plus with a few minor plays in between

There is URC and Gallagher Prem this week and looking forward to getting one over the bookies in this thread

I’ve fired Lions +12.5 @ 17/20

Mainly as I’d really liked the way they were building up for Cardiff game and was super confident on them before that game got cancelled. I think they can even possibly push for the win on Saturday, but 12.5 feels too big.

Lets handle the Dubai 7s on this thread as well - a bit surprised the Lions line hasn't moved as I know a few punters who fancy them

Fiji vs Spain

Fiji lost the first match in the group. I expect them to bounce back seriously.

Argentina vs France

I expect a high scoring match between these two teams. The total looks low compared to the scores we've had so far.

Missed the Sharks price but happy to take over 24.5 points - humidity doesn't look too bad tonight

Spain vs France

Fiji lost both their matches to France and Spain respectively, and Spain and France are tied on 2nd and 3rd.
Last week France beat Spain 28-26 in play-offs.
I think the handicap is too big in favour of France.

Bet: Spain +5.5 @1.87

Spain vs France

The total points for this match has increased by 2 (39.5 points) in the last half an hour, but Unibet still offers the same 37.5 points, so I'll take it.

Argentina vs Fiji

Not going very well so far, but Fiji not going through to the play-offs is mind boggling.
They must beat Argentina, who beat them for the third place last week.
Are they able o pull one out of their bum?
Let's see.

Bet: Fiji @2.50

The commentators have just said that even if Fiji wins they won't get through, because Spain beat them (I thought points difference is the tie-breaker) so I'll take overs here, as they will play for show.

Bet: Over 37.5 points @1.90

Lions +11.5

Had a big double of Ireland v Japan, Ireland over 33.5 points (landed with 41-0).

Then SA v GB, SA over 25.5 points, ended 21-7, with the blitz Boks leading 14-7 at HT, massive errors and knocks ons, what a shambles. Don’t think I’ve ever made a double 7s bet in my life.

Not surprised it did'nt land given the fact that Powell mentioned he would be conserving because of injuries.

It’s clear they were conserving their handling, 4 knock ons in the game alone. The Boks should be scoring 4 tries every game, no questions asked. Wtf

Australia vs Ireland

Australia are on fire and last week they beat Ireland 35-14.
However the handicap is too big here, as Ireland are different with Jordan Conroy who is back for Ireland and he is on fire.

Spain have been playing nice rugby, while Japan lost all their games so far, including last weekend, by big margins. They never looked to be in any of the games they played.

Fiji vs Canada

This is a play-off match for the bottom 4 spots. The Fijians are fielding a young and inexperienced team and their only win came against Argentina in a match that didn't matter.
Canada lost all their three group matches, but they were against very good opposition, USA, Australia and Kenya. However, their only big defeat was against USA by 24 points, who were losing finalists last week.
Therefore I don't think that they'll lose to this Fijian team by as big a margin as they lost to a strong USA team.

Bet: Canada +21.5 @1.87

Stormers -8.5 at 17/20 and Stormers over 28.5 at 9/10.

Lions under 19.5 is very tempting, but have to respect all the sentiment for the Lions.

Very happy with my Lions yesterday, who paid back my faith with early in the week bets on them to easily cover the double digit plus and on the board. I also jumped on the over 17,5 points when it came out, this is not Newlands and Lions can score! Their defence was the biggest surprise yesterday and the work they have been doing with the new coaches is starting to show dividends and really helped them weather some truly daft calls from the officials).

Big game today with Leicester Tigers at home taking on Harlequins. Should be a cracker with some cloud about and a low probability of rain.

I'm going to follow with the trend of Quins being a stronger 2nd half team and Leicester starting with a monster back 3 who should give them the edge at the breakdown/turnovers in the first half. Will also fire into a bigger Quins plus in-running if Leicester build up a fair lead in the 1st half.

Leicester over 13.5 1st half points
Leicester 1st half -2,5

Good luck!

Bit speculative but don’t want to undo the great results from the 2 SA games, so going this special -

Leicester over 13.5 both halves
Quins over 9.5 both halves
