It was great to have the Rugby Championship back although from a betting perspective I lost money on overs (the weekends Newsletter bet) and also the Argentina v Aus game where I backed either team by 7 or less

There were no such problems for The Oracle though - How about this Confidence?

Onto this weekend and here are my projected handicaps v the actual caps at WSB in brackets

South Africa -6.5 (-5.5) v All Blacks
Argentina +4,5 (+7.5) v Australia

There is also week 2 of the Bunnings NPC and if anyone wants to have a go at the early caps please do.

Hawkes Bay was a bit of a mistake on my end but even adjusting I have 9.5. I will wait for teams list but will look to have a go Counties +14.5.

Books probably have the BOP v Naki game right.

SA -5.5 19/20 must be a bet. I cant see the AB's improving in a week. Morale in that camp must be desperate knowing that wholesale changes in both management and squad loom large.

As you go through life it’s a long, long road. There’ll be joys and sorrows too

Seeing that Manawatu made 8 changes to the team that made a disastrous 15-62 start to their campaign, and assuming that Auckland made a similar number of changes, but they are Auckland still, I'm looking at Manawatu's previous results in this competition and there's nothing much to write home about.

I think that even with a second string team Auckland should have too much for them.

Bet 1: Auckland -9.5 @1.87
Bet 2: Auckland Team Total Points Over 32.5 @1.92

I was looking for a response to conceding over 60 pts and Manawatu were +19 but suddenly dropped to +11 so missed my chance there......

Manawatu +10.5 and Manawatu over 21.5 points for me today.

Putting my faith in Howden, Iose, Cameron and the rest of a pretty decent backline.

Brilliant from Counties such a scrappy side. So close to snatching it. They just gotta work the penalties out of their game.

Hi Fellow punters and Rugby Lovers.
Does anyone have a spare DSTV Premium channel (DSTV Premium allows access to 4 channels, 1 of can be for streaming) for rent to me for R200.00/month over the internet ?
I will pay for a year in advance: R2,400.00.
We cancelled our DSTV a few years ago when we retired as a cost cutter, and I’ve been renting as above from a mate who cxd his at the end of last month for the same reason.
I’ve been unable to find rugby live streaming anywhere, and I’m freaking-out not to have rugby to watch.
This is my last gasp effort before we re-subscribe.
If you can accommodate me, please contact me via wattsapp 082 929-2118, or direct mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Thanx a mill, Mike (Kirky).

SA women over 17.5 @ 10/11

Big game for them today, Spain haven’t played as a unit for a while whereas Boks fresh off a tour to Japan. Home crowd, wondering if Spain women battle in the altitude. Was trying to find a tries overs instead but nothing available, think this line looks in range,

Trying to watch this Canterbury v Wellington game. It’s possibly the worst I’ve seen.

15-10 after 55min.
No attacking shape. Terrible play. What a poor product. 3200 fans. No wonder NZ is ranked 5th.

RIP All Black rugby.

35 unanswered points was it? I only 'just' lost the +10 by 23 pts......

Need SA -5 to come in here!

Back the underdog on the plus in all NPC games unless Canterbury or Manawatū are playing, and you’ll do well

Australia -5.5

Disagree with the Argentinian sentiment. Dispite injuries that Aussie squad still looks good. They have a better squad, better disipline and are better coached. In the end they put Argentina to the sword last week, thats a good sign to me. I expect Argentina to play for 60mins and then just beat themselves.

Hi lads ,

The dominance displayed by the Boks last week was pretty absolute and it's tough to see them fronting up this weekend, in the past NZ have done well at Ellis Park but can they improve enough in a week has to doubtful . Having said that it's not a game I'll go wild on and might lean on the unders points as my main bet .

Later on I'm going for Australia , the Pumas were most disappointing last week and they can improve on that performance , but I just think Australia will be good enough to cover the cap .

Hoping for early Pumas points so I can get a decent minus of 2-3 on Ausie .

your maths ain't very good mate
she may have lost one pension fund today, but she's still up 3 from last week

from all of this, this is the lesson you must learn - don't take 9/10 on something you are sure of; take the much better odds on the alternative handicap - the bookies "well set line" is just smoke and mirrors

Some gamblers won't get this. 26-10 to 23-35; a 28 point turnaround in a week. Either SA got 28 points shittier or NZ got 28 points better, or for fairness SA got 14 points shittier and NZ 14 points better. SA -5.5 was the right call. -10.5 was a better call. Sports bettors will get this.

One thing about rematches the following week is that there’s far more room for improvement for the team that loses the first game. Ireland winning the second test against the All Blacks, England winning the second test against the Wallabies, Japan almost beating France in the second test after being comfortably beaten in the first, Wales beating South Africa, All Blacks beating South Africa and Argentina beating South Africa.
