Geez I am battling for form - left total overs this week and fired Boks overs at 26.5 and a biggish knock as they could only get 23 points. I had considered over 47.5 total and am kicking myself for changing the strategy.

The Rugby Championship takes a break and my handicap projections for round 3 below

Australia +4.5 v SA
New Zealand -14.5 v Argentina

I haven't seen any caps or outright betting yet - New Zealand surely odds-on now but it is wide open

This week we only have NPC and well done to Hanrick for going 6/7 on Thursdays show

TAB NZ have the cap for the New Zealand vs Argentina as -22.5.

Was hoping for late teens but will still look to take NZ minus at this line. Argentina defense is like kids on crutches + Nz will be buzzing after the Bok win.

Otago 4.5 Hawkes bay -4.5 (-1.5)
Counties 9.5 Waikato -9.5 (-7.5)
Wellington -10.5 Northland 10.5 (+13.5)
North Harbour 4.5 Tasman -4.5 (-3.5)
Auckland -7.5 BOP 7.5 (-7.5)
Taranaki 21.5 Canterbury -21.5 (-18.5)

Only lean would be counties and cant not play Canterbury in that spot.

Northland is strong defensively 10.5 might still be to much in a low scoring game.

Otago vs Hawke's Bay

I'm following the trend of high scoring matches in the New Zealand competition.

Bet: Total Points Over 55.5 @1.82

Don't like the team HB picked and Otago team look solid. Backing the home team on the -3.5

Otago seem to be struggling for points, first 2 games around 45 point mark, see the same happening here - around 45-52 personally; going unders.

Good luck though Quill mate - let’s wait and see! Buckle up!

I agree with Hanrick. Was able to take Otago at -1,5 earlier in the week.

That's a juicy plus on Argentina. Safer bet probably overs on Argentina points

35.5 points for NZ and 12.5 for Argentina. For me I’ll look at o35.5 for NZ as a big strike. Argentina’s defense is nowhere. Only concern is the Christchurch pitch can get slippery under the lights.

Best bet of the wknd:

Southland +7.5 vs Otago

Otago’s 3rd game in 9 days. Only rested a few for the midweek game and if they don’t rotate heavily this will be most player’s 3rd game in a row.

Stags lost narrowly by 1 point to a good Auckland side.

Can see Southland winning.

Southland 9.5 Otago -9.5 (-7.5)
Manawatu 21.5 Hawkesbay -21.5 (-17.5)

Weathers crap in NZ certainly looks like an UNDERS weekend even up all the overs we have had the last 2 rounds.

That Southland line has come in already to 3.5. I don't think its enough. Otago has held three of the better attacking teams to basically under 20 points and Average 18.3 PAPG. Only some brilliance from Nanai-Seturo got Counties to 23 points. I'm not sure Southland is good enough for more than one try vs a quality defense. I get the fatigue argument but at 3.5 theres no stags value anymore. The game screams UNDER to me waiting to see where the line comes out.

Thanks for the heads up on the weather, Reverent.

Weather looks fine in Pukekohe though and this looks like an overs game. Waikato games generally overs games. Like the Steelers to win so focussing more on their points.

Counties over 24.5 and smaller on over 48.5 total points.

Am I missing something, didn’t Norris just clearly tip the ball over the Counties head for that try? No check at all?

Japan women v ireland, could be an upset here in my view, Japan gave bok ladies 2 hard games, probably more ready than Ireland. Heat and humidity will be a tough test for Irish.

Japan win @ 9/4

After a good win on Bok ladies last week I thought this womens rugby internationals could be a good gap filler for main rugby punting. But After that miss-by-a-mile call on the Japs the female rugby betting terminates here for me. :pinch:

Nothing like waking up to see Auckland murder your 9 fold accumulator on a Sunday morning.
First loss in 18 years in Auckland, perfect time.

And now HB cocking up 3+ 5m lineouts - what a clown show this NPC is.
