Over to BG for the picks, anything less than a treble digit price will be something of an anti climax

Despite the heartbreak of Whaley not delivering an 8400/1 double it was a profitable week on the golf and having won on Rozner the week before is it too soon to call it a winning streak?
The Australian Open has some quality players with Niemann the dfending champ topping the boards at 9/2 ahead of Cam Smith at 13/2 and Min Woo Lee at 17/2.
They are not for me though and I am looking further down the boards.and have come up with 2 outsiders
2 units Hayden Hopewell Top 10 at 14/1 - Sportingbet, full payouts on ties
The 22 year old Aussie has shown some promise and while not exactly on fire he has made his last 4 cuts and was 43rd last week, Although only 33rd in this tournament last year when it was last played in Melbourne in 2022 he finished 10th as a 20 year old.
I will have a nibble on the 300/1 outright but my main focus will be on him repeating his top 10.
2 units Josh Geary Top 10 at 12/1 - Sportingbet full payouts for ties
Geary was 6th here in 2022 and this 40 year old New Zealand journeyman is capable of putting up the odd strong showing and while he missed the cut last week he was 5th in the NSW Open the week before so there is some recent form and I am banking on his fond memories of this course to inspire a good week.
Taking 0.25 units on Geary outright 250/1 and Hopewell 300/1

Taken my quarterly bet on Ryo Ishikawa at 18/1 over in Japan. He wins a few every year - just never with my money on him.
ISPS Handa
Going with Micheluzzi again. Three rounds on Kingston Heath this year. Last used in 2022 and averaged 2 plus over par. I know Ogilvy is more of a commentator these days but the game is still there - 24th last week - and looking at all those above him on the boards I have difficulty finding 20 plus with the patience for a difficult golf course.
E/W 1-5
Micheluzzi @ 28/1
Top 30
Ogilvy @ 34/10
Popped a beer on the Ishikawa/Micheluzzi double @ 550/1
