Good to see the Nedbank Challenge back in its early December slot although not sure the players will agree as it is going to be scorching

Will have a few bets up later today

Such a pity the Saudi International is on at the same time - robs us of SA's top players. Of the Saffa's in the field I think Bezuidenhout is not allergic to the Gary Player lay out and van Velzen is not averse to the course either. He managed a runner-up in the Blue Label modified stableford there earlier this year and has one or two low rounds. Maybe he can put something together and can't get hurt at his price.

Nedbank Golf Challenge

E/W 1-5
Detry @ 28/1

Win and top 10
Waring @ 45/1

Win and top 20
van Velzen @ 350/1

Win only beers for interest

Wiesberger @ 95/1
Potgieter @ 130/1
Willett @ 250/1

Hero World Challenge

In the Hero just one bet for me - 1 unit Aberg win at 11/1 Betx
A number if players are coming off a rest and Scheffler the man to beat for sure but Aberg has had a recent run and I fancy him for a big week.

Nedbank Challenge

Conners the fav not a prolific winner, Homa been out of form - I am looking down the list and a couple of long shot plays for me

Elvis Smylie is as big as 100/1 at Betx and I will have a nibble on a young Aussie who won the Aus PGA and then finished 5th ;last week at the open.
He hasn't played the course but will be used to the heat and he is an up and coming 22 year old I think the bookies are underestimating

0.5 unit win 100/1 Betx and 2 units Top 5 incl ties at 10/1 Sportingbet

Ryggs Johnstone won the Aussie Open last week and the 24 year old American was a massive unknown going into the tournament. Yes he is young and could have partied it up but he is also in great nick and not playing the strongest field in the world.

0.5 unit win at 90/1 Betx and 1 unit Top 5 at 9/1 at Sportingbet ties incl.

A disappointing back 9 from Aberg yesterday and he is 6 back of Scheffler who looks unlikely to come back to the field

In the Nedbank a disappointing double on 17 saw Elvis finish -1 4 back of the lead. I make him a big runner still and with tough conditions and players wilting in the heat I am taking some more 50/1.

My main bet at halfway is Bezuidenhout to win at 9/1

He is 3 back and I was hoping for double figures but will take whats on offer. He should be able to handle the heat and hopefully finish strong.

Throwing a couple of units at the Saffa
