Paul v Zverev

I think Tommy gives Zverez a hard time so taking

Win and games
Zverev and over 39.5 games @ 7/4

Looks like Djokovic's head is away with the fairies and he will get drilled by the crowd so will consider the Alcaraz win tomorrow.

Djokovic v Alcaraz

Consistently call this match-up wrong so nothing large. Just feel Novak is not here mentally and is going to get baited by the crowd. Problem is - does this make him dig in or does he roll over. Not prepared to call it so taking the safety of games. Can't see many tie breakers here so

Nice call Vann - I watched the 4th set, amazing how mentally strong Djoker is

I am curious what made you (correctly) forecast a lack of tie breakers?

Ability to break each others serve. I think there were 10 breaks in the match.

Jannik Sinner v Alex De Minaur

De Minaur's progress is obvious.
Yes, he has a very bad H2H with Sinner, but he is a much improved player now. He's playing at home, a noisy partizan crowd. I'm not touching the Sinner health subject.

I wanted to take De Minaur to win one set, but the odds are too low at 1.61.

So I took De Minaur over 15.5 games @1.86.

If he were to take one set, he could take 16 games too in a 1-3 loss.

De Minaur reached no. 7 now, but he is still a long way away.
He admitted it himself in the post-match interview and we could see on court during the match when he was gesturing towards his box like "what else can I do".

Anyway...

Djoko vs Zverev

Zverev is very good on serve and Djoko has problems against such players, as he cannot prolong the rallies and find the best solutions.
Zverev won 3 of their last 5 h2h, is fitter and we can finally say that he is not anymore a youngster who might have jitters when facing a player like Djoko.

I'm going for Zverev here. He's very good right now.

Bet: Zverev @2.37

Djoko v Zverev

I don't think there is anything physically wrong with Djokovic. He has used the same leg sore story before. Oddly it seemed to get to Alcaraz. I expect Zverev to be able to ignore it. Still think Djokovic is a very good player but he will be facing a better server today. I expect players to be able to hold their serves so should be longer sets. I do not have Quills confidence here so will take games in this match but will risk a small double on Zverev.

Match games over 41.5 @ 19/20

Double
Zverev win/Sinner -5.5 games @ 5/2

Sinner vs Shelton

I don't think Shelton is a chance at pulling off an upset, but I do think he is capable of keeping sets close, or potentially snatching a set from the Italian.

Bet: Shelton over 13.5 games @1.83

Taking another bet on the Sinner vs Shelton match.

Shelton can keep things close early and his serve does help him.

First set total games over 10.5 @3.40 - bet365 (other bookies have this one at much lower odds).

This gives us two options, a 7-5 and a 7-6, regardless who takes it.

Sinner vs Zverev

These two players met six times and Zverev leads 4-2. He is one of the very few players to have a positive head-to-head record against Jannik Sinner.
Zverev has a genuine chance in this matchup. If he can maintain that competitive edge and turn this into a physical battle, potentially stretching it to four or five sets, Sinner may very well break down physically.

Zverev now has the experience of big matches, he is fresher than Sinner and beat the Italian last time they met at a Grand Slam (3-2 at US Open).

Bet 1: Over 38.5 games @1.74
Bet 2: Zverev over 18.5 games @1.75
Bet 3: Zverev win @3.35 - two beers

Second set tie breaker was the turning point.
Agree Zverev should have taken some chances. Not a single break point on the Sinner serve.

Enjoyed the tournament - would have been quite profitable if Sabalenka did not disappoint yesterday.

Yes, Zverev had opportunities to push and apply some pressure on Sinner, but he didn't.
Now we need someone to keep challenging Sinner at the top, and so far we have only Alcaraz. Good enough.
