ICC Champions Trophy strats Wednesday, plenty of outright markets about, to win the trophy latest betting from WSB below

India 2.60
Australia 5.50
England 7.00
New Zealand 7.50
Pakistan 8.00
South Africa 8.50
Afghanistan 19.00
Bangladesh 101.00

I'll have a better look as I do the previews but was a touch surprised to see Pakistan trading so big.

Locally we have the One Day Cup as well and we will use this thread for all cricket tips over the next couple of weeks.

Champions Trophy opener on Wednesday Pakistan v New Zealand

goodforthegame.co.za/Cricket/pakistan-v-...y-19th-february.html

Hadn't realized NZ beat Pakistan at this venue twice in the recenttri series, still think Pakistan look the stronger side given no Boult or Southee for NZ but a tricky one to start with. Siding with Player Performance Mitchell Santner over 32.5 at 17/20 with BetXchange

Sorry for getting to the party late guys!

I reckon today's game could be a decider of who plays India in the final. I'm leaning Kiwis who just look well belanced BUT for some reason I have this gut feel that an India v Paki final is destined to happen.

Outright plays:
Finalists: India vs Paki - 15/2
Top Bowler: S Afridi - 14/1
Top Bat: F Zahman - 25/1
(NB: Above bets could all be up in smoke by ths evening)

Top Aus bat: Carey - 8/1
Top India Bowler: Jadeja - 10/1

Accumulator (allowed by WSB):
Rashid top Eng bowler, Zampa top Aus bowler and Williamson top NZ bat at 20/1. Also same first two with Root as top Eng bat at the same price of 20/1.

I can't wait for this - love me some 50 over cricket!

Clearly I should learn to differentiate between a gut feel and heartburn! The latter is what I have after 3 of my outright bets are already pretty much in the bin after one game...

Not anywhere near over. Bangladesh are no pushovers and India are only 14/10 because 80% of the punting comes from India. I believe the winner comes from this group but certainly not prepared to call it this early. Do concede however that Afridi bowled absolute shite today.

-Bangladesh to beat nz, 4.80, 3 units......I will hedge some on nz if their live price gets to 2.10 or higher. But still keep Bangladesh my much better result. This 4.80 price should be no bigger than 4.00 here.

-NZ top bat......

-Williamson, 4.00, 1.5 units
-Mitchell, 6.00, 0.5 of a unit

Nice Hossain pick yesterday Chris. Mahmudulah had to drop an absolute sitter to prevent Rahman getting two wickets.

Australia v South Africa
Apparently Rawalpindi is a batting paradise gets easier as the day goes. Both of today's captains have confirmed they will chase. Not what I saw yesterday. I thought Hossain was getting sharp turn in the evening and that innings from Ravindra was top quality. Taking Maharaj on the basis that we will probably lose the toss so he will bowl in the evening. On the basis that runs may not flow I think the fours line looks high.

I agree Vann. I see many talking about a flat pitch but in my view it offered plenty and was not just a case of Bangladesh batting poorly.

I will be looking to go unders on runs in some way, shape or form.

Also a possible Zampa play - ither wickets, top wicket taker or MoM. (Will shop around now).

Taking some Afghanistan to beat the Aussies and get revenge for the 2023 CWC at 3.80

The Aussies have struggled against spin, losing both their warmup games against Sri Lanka and will be facing a minimum of 30 overs of top-quality spin from the Afghans.

Previously the Afghans have struggled against the pace of the Aussies attack but without Cummins, Hazelwood and Starc, the likes of Gurbaz and Zadran will fancy their chances.

New Zealand v India

Both sides inclined to keep the ball on the ground. India managed 21 fours in 231 and 23 fours in 244 in their two previous matches. Their line may be right but the NZ line looks a little light.

Inda v Australia
I have considered Australia at 31/20 on the basis that batting first is an advantage here. The wicket gets slower and spinners run rates drop from 4.8 in 1st inn to around 4.1 in the 2nd inn. With India having lost 13 tosses in a row would expect Australia to bat first. Not taking on however as India picked the full first team against NZ even though they were qualified and some players should have been rested. My take was they wanted to avoid SA in the semi's so they must be confident they can handle the Aussies.

Hoping India have a dip somewhere in the match so I can cover my 7/1 NZ ticket. Read a lot of previews on the match and nobody mentions Ravindra. He has looked quality against spin and I think New Zealand's chances revolve around his performance.

India v New Zealand

Like that Santner PP so will be joining. Can take it for granted that the wicket prepared will suit the Indian spinners. India settled on the four spin tactic in the New Zealand pool match and continued in the semi. The two matches saw 28 and 36 fours. Lines too high in my opinion.

Match fours under 42.5 @ 8/10

Player performance Santner over 33.5 17/20
