Sam burns 125/1 (⅕ odds top 10)
Cory conners 66/1 (win only)

The Crows Nest

Five amateurs this year. Hard to believe two guys turned pro rather then wait till after the Masters. Jack and Tiger never even considered that an option. We have

Jose Ballester - 21yr ranked 6th am
Evan Beck - 34yr ranked 18th am
Justin Hastings - 21yr ranked 24th am
Hiroshi Tai - 23yr ranked 47am
Noah Kent - 19yr ranked 156th am.

I'm looking at two of these guys. Hastings finished T13 in the Mexico Open in February and I like Tai on the basis that his parents were top sports people and his sister plays off +2. Going with the longer odds here

Top Amateur
H Tai @ 11/2

Top Debutant

Have to consider Rai, Pendrith and the trust fund baby Mcnealy. This is however, mainly a rugby union web site and we should take this into account. So if there is a mature 35 year old golfer who has been around the block, has the necessary patience and his team leads the english prem by 10 points at the time of writing we have to go for him.

Bryson Dechambles is going to win this fellas.

Looks calm, collected and enjoying it. I think the pressure will get to Rory, and Bryson has another gear.
Backing him to win at 2.5-1

What a leaderboard!! Pulling for Conners but also Mcilroy from purist view, the lad is so overdue and never seen him so focussed.

Cheers sportsbettor - what a final round

Rory was brilliant at times pulling off some remarkable shot especially at 15 but he threw in one of the worst shots I have seen from a professional at 13 and his approach at 18 in regulation was awful

Happy for him, relieved for me

Let me add I feel for Justin Rose - what a charge on Sunday and that missed putt for par on 17 cost him in the end
