Super Rugby Pacific Week 12, Champions and Challenge Cup semi's + other rugby

Overall a decent weekend for me with some very close wins (under 56.5 in Brisbane, Sharks -2.5 to mention a couple) and generally more wins than losses.
The highlight was the newsletter bet of over 53.5 in Stormers game and also Scarlets beating Leinster at 35/20.

Low point was the lack of points in Lions v Connacht which ended up costing the 16/1 newsletter acca - here is the link to get the newsletter bit.ly/gftgnewsletter

This weekend we have Super Rugby and the SRP week 12 blog is up an running

Here are my projected handicaps

Blues -16.5 v Force

Drua +7.5 v Reds

Hurricanes +5.5 v Chiefs

Brumbies -9.5 v Waratahs

Highlanders -7.5 v Moana Pasifika

I will compare with the bookies lines tomorrow.

There is also the Investec Champions and Challenge Cup semi's

Here are the current handicaps for the Champions Cup

Leinster -21.5 v Northampton
Bordeaux +4.5 v Toulouse

I have not seen betting for the Challenge Cup but here are the fixtures

Lyon v Racing
Edinburgh v Bath

Have a good week everyone

I had Reds -2.5 in that game. The fact that the nztab opened that game 1.87 a piece on the match winner was pretty comical :)

The Fiji Drua will have one last chance this season for a road/away win.

Currently 0-6 on the road, they face the reds in round 16 in Brisbane for their last road game this season.

Should they lose that game which is extremely likely, their 0-7 road record will add to their misery on the road since joining super rugby.

Probably the worst road record in super rugby history, sunwolves are the only team I can think of that may be able to match them.

I had some time, so did some digging.

1 win and 26 losses for the Fiji Drua on the road since joining Super rugby.

Average margin of defeat across those 26 losses = 25 points.

Yep correct.

I was just making some general comments about their road record.

An amazing one at that. Line will be at least -13.5 for their last road game (round 16).

Took some Canes +5.5 earlier in the week. Like their team and Chiefs without DMac & ALB.

Also got a few beers on Canes to win the tournament @ 21
Higgins & Proctor looked epic in the midfield last week and Godfey will be back at 10 soon. Should win at least 3 of their last 4 so they make the top 6 comfortably. Won't be easy playing finals away, but worth a shot at those odds.

TMO desperate to get in on the action at any attempt. Overs lands in the end, a good Friday morning.

But these days you really cannot celebrate a try until the game kick-offs again. Getting like VAR for football.

Its awful isnt it. Was that 3 tries disallowed by TMO intervention? I suppose if the correct result ensues we have to accept it for what it is .....

I live in Wellington, where Canes are playing Chiefs tonight

Gale force winds and terrible storm in the city Thursday/Friday, pushing down points total

But today (Saturday) has suddenly turned beautiful, lots of sun to dry out pitch, no wind, should be great conditions for game tonight

Overs on

Not sure why everybody has UBB over Stade Toulousain or LOU over Racing Metro 92.

I'll make sure to make an parlay of these two.

Okay, there are massive absences due to injuries, but Toulouse has tons of experience and UBB struggled to beat the tier 2.5 ST team a few weeks ago in top 14.
RM92 have been gaining in power for 2 monthes now, LOU is solid at home sure, but on a knockout game, the gap shouldn't be that wide, especially since I think they'll do the max to secure that CCup berth.

overs in Dublin is the bet for me, just not sure if total, Leinster, or Saints. Will mull over.

Sick beat in Canes game dragged me backwards to square for weekend. And if Reds had held on 1 more minute would have landed the middle on caps. :-(

Brumbies sure tried their hardest to make sure I didn't score my " brumbies 1st to 45 " live race.

Tom Wright forgetting to pass the ball twice, ref getting back to a 1min30 ago knock on on Ikitau's " try " , two balls ripped off their arms 5 meters from the line etc ;D ;D ;D

I had Reds in all my accas save one where I had " Drua over 24.5 " ...
I should have mitigated these bets with slightlty different results like Drua + 5 etc
