Winning Form selections for racing from the Vaal on Tuesday 27th January where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

EMERALD FORGE has been costly to follow to date. She should have finished closer to the winner in a work riders contest last time. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. She jumps from a good draw of four and Keagan de Melo may be able to get the best out of her where it matters most.

MASTER SPY returns from a 29-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. The son of Master Of My Fate has scope and if not in need of the run, he should be the first male past the post.

UBERMENSCH stayed on when fourth over 1160m at Turffontein last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He jumps from a good draw of two and is a solid back-up for the Sean Tarry stable.

Race 2

BABETTE‘S FEAST is lightly raced with decent form lines to her name. She stayed on when fourth over 1600m on this course last time. The daughter of Hawwaam is having her peak run today and in this field, she can shed her maiden tag.

SWEETSUMMERLOVE ran a fair race over 1400m at Turffontein last time. She was reported to be fatigued that day. Raymond Danielson retains the ride, and she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

MARIA LA GORDA has fair form lines to her name. She returns from an 11- week break which may have done her the world of good. The daughter of Act Of War has scope and can finish in the placings.

Race 3

WAR TALK has finished second in her last two starts, the latest of which was over 1800m on this course. She raced from a handy position, tried hard but found one too good in the form of Naretoi. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She is drawn wide but gets the services of Craig Zackey who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

CHICKASAW was running on when third over 1800m on this course last time. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight should love the rise to 2000m and Ryan Munger may be able to get the best out of her where it matters most.

ASIAH‘S TIARA is still a maiden after 17 starts. She has finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this distance. She is carded to race on 22 January 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 4

TEXAS MISSILE followed up his maiden win with a good victory over this distance at Turffontein. He set the pace and found extra where it matters most. The son of One World is a progressive type and can bring up the hat-trick.

DANCE KING faced stronger over this distance at Turffontein last time. He finished 0.3 lengths behind ROYAL EDITION in his penultimate outing. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around.

ROYAL EDITION ran a fair race in the Non-Black Type WSB Heritage Consolation last time. He has won twice from three starts over this C&D. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and the combination merit healthy respect.

Race 5

ROAMING SPIRIT finished 1.4 lengths behind BOSUM BUDDY last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of Buffalo Bill Cody will be mowing down the frontrunners and she can return to winning ways.

BOSUM BUDDY won a game race over this C&D last time. She received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is in a good space and merits obvious consideration.

POBLANO fought hard when second over 1160m at Turffontein last time. She finished 0.4 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

Race 6

TEMPRANILLO is better than her last start over this C&D as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. She finished 2.7 lengths behind  DEAL MAKER that day and is 5kgs better off at the weights. The well-bred daughter of Querari has plenty of scope and with Keagan de Melo in the saddle, she may be the one to side with.

PLUMBAGO PARK followed up her maiden win with a good second-place finish when 0.5 lengths behind DEAL MAKER. She is 4.5kgs better off at the weights and should turn the form around.

THERE SHE GOES is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over this distance at Turffontein. Mickaelle Michel steps back into the saddle and she can bring up the hat-trick.

Race 7

TIME FOR CHARITY moved up well over 1200m last time before getting outrun late. She has won twice and finished third once from five starts over this C&D. Muzi Yeni steps back into the saddle and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

MISTY METAL finished 1.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

BLINDFIRE is better than her last start at Turffontein. She has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this C&D. She drops back in class and should be competitive.

Race 8

SHEETS AND GOGGLES showed some signs of a form return in her last start over this C&D. She was slow into stride and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight takes a drop in class and if jumping on terms, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.

DONDOYAKI is the stable companion of the top choice. She followed up her maiden win with a good second-place finish over 1450m. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson which will assist her cause.

FALCONFLY was given a well-timed ride when winning her maiden over 1450m on this course last time. She takes on stronger, but is in a good space and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 9

LAUGHING WILLIAM finished 1.3 lengths behind FOSTINOVO last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won twice and finished third once from four starts over this C&D. He is having his second run after a rest and should strip much fitter. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.

FOSTINOVO was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1400m at Turffontein. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. With luck from the widest draw, he should be competitive.

SALUTE THE FLAG showed good improvement when second over 1400m at Turffontein last time. He tried hard that day but found one too good in the form of Clever Trevor. He is having his peak run and cannot be discounted
