Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Wednesday 25th March where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
SNOWBIRD produced an encouraging debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She should have finished closer to the winner that day. The daughter of What A Winter would have gained from the experience and if not too green around the turn, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
PREACHER MAN has run two fair races to date. The daughter of Real Gone Kid takes on her own sex for the first time. She is a progressive type and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
LUCY’S WORLD was in need of her debut effort over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The daughter of One World would have come on from the run and can improve to finish in the placings.
Race 2
FUTURE RED ran a good race on debut over 1250m on this course. The daughter of Futura would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1400m. If Luyolo Mxothwa is able to switch her off early, she can go one better.
THELEIA was a beaten favourite over this C&D last time. Her penultimate run when second catches the eye. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
HAZEL GREEN finished 1.2 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
Race 3
Trainer Des McLachlan holds a strong hand in this contest and can saddle the first two past the post. DISTRICT MASTER is the mount of Grant van Niekerk. He followed up his maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The son of Captain Of All is in a good space, likely to race on the speed and can bring up the hat-trick.
DEVIL A SAINT took on much stronger in his last start over this C&D. His three efforts prior to that outing were good. The son of Querari would not be a shock winner.
KEBONALESEDI finished 2.55 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 4
THE NIGHT FERRY was a tad disappointing over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. His three efforts prior to that outing were good. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance. Apprentice Sifisokuhle Bungane steps back into the saddle and the combination may be hard to peg back.
MIDWAY is better than his last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. Two of his three career victories have come on this course. On best form shown, he should be competitive.
RED CORAL is better than her last three starts. The daughter of Rafeef continues to drop in the ratings. If seeing out the 1800m, she can give the males a run for their money.
Race 5
GENTLEMAN JOE stayed on when third over 2500m in the Listed Masks Of Fire Kenilworth Cup. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. The 7yo gelding has no stamina issues and can notch up his sixth-career victory.
TOTHEMOONANDBACK was an easy winner of his last start over 2500m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He finished 1 length behind the top choice, three runs ago. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
CASSANDRA is better than her last start over 2000m. She gets the services of Apprentice Sifisokuhle Bungane who takes the 2.5kgs off her back. The daughter of Act Of War would not be a shock winner.
Race 6
GIVEN TO FLY finished 0.1 lengths behind MIGHTY MARY last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She is ideally drawn in barrier three and can notch up her second-career victory.
PLAYFUL JOULES finished 0.4 lengths behind MIGHTY MARY last time. She is also 1.5kgs better off at the weights and should turn the form around.
MIGHTY MARY was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. She meets a similar line-up this afternoon and merits healthy respect.
Race 7
PRAIRIE DAWN followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. The son of The United States is ideally suited to this course and from his good draw of three, he may be the one to beat.
MEET THE KING finished 0.3 lengths behind SHOW OFF last time. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
HOW OFF stayed on when fourth over 1400m on this course last time. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. With a bit of luck in running, he should fight out the finish
