Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 14th November where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
ELUSIVE BLACK ran a good race when second in his first start in the Eastern Cape. He should have finished closer that day as he raced green and hung inwards. The son of Elusive Fort gets the cheekpieces fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He jumps from pole position and should take a power of beating.
MISS TAKES returns from a 19-week break and is having his first run for Cliffie Miller. On best form shown, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
RIVER FERN set the pace over 1300m last time, but found one too good in the form of Captain Clever. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Bavish Soodoo retains the ride, and he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 2
NORTH STAR was her own worst enemy last time as she over raced in the early stages and hung in the straight. Her penultimate run when second over 1000m on this course was encouraging. If Luyolo Mxothwa is able to switch her off early, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
ROYAL CITY GIRL finished 1.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
TWILIGHT BAY was outrun late when third over this distance on the turf last time. The daughter of Potala Palace has work to do at the weights, but she is likely to get her own way in front and may be hard to peg back.
RACE 3
POMEROL showed improvement when fifth in her first start for the Tara Laing stable. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Legislate will enjoy the rise to 1400m and from a good draw of three, she may have more to come.
IZANAMI stayed on at the finish after a slow start last time. The daughter of Danon Platina would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
AMANATTO was a beaten favourite when third over 1200m on this course last time. She carries a nice weight of 55.5kgs. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
RACE 4
FAIRY KNIGHT found betting support when third in the Non-Black Type Cradock Place Stakes last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won twice and finished second twice from as many starts over this distance. Luyolo Mxothwa steps back into the saddle and on best form shown, he should be the one to beat.
USA‘S HOPE ran a good race in the second leg of the Non-Black Type Nelson Mandela Bay Racing East Cape Poly Challenge last time. It must be noted that Mercantour and the second horse have come out and won since. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
THE AFRICA HOUSE is better than his last two starts. On best form shown, he is capable of causing an upset.
RACE 5
AVERNIAN GODDESS is having her first outing for the yard. Both her career victories have come over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack. She gets the tongue-tie fitted and Luyolo Mxothwa is booked to ride. If settled into her new surroundings, she can return to winning ways.
KINGS AGAIN stayed on at the finish when fourth over 1000m on the turf last time. She has won once and finished third twice from as many starts on this course. If jumping on terms, she should be involved at the finish.
ALESIA‘S LOVE finished 0.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
Race 6
GREEN ISLE has produced three good runs since relocating to the Eastern Cape. She raced in a wide position turning for home, but finished off her race strongly. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight takes a drop in class and jumps from a good draw of four. Xolani Ndlovu steps into the saddle and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
UMZOLOZOLO‘S last two starts have been decent. It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. The daughter of Elusive Fort merits obvious consideration.
JAMBO SANA finished 0.45 lengths behind KAMAKAZI last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She is versatile and can notch up her seventh-career victory.
RACE 7
PICK A POMODORO raced from a handy position over 1800m on the turf last time and tried hard all the way to the line. He carries a nice weight of 56kgs which can make all the difference in this Open Maiden. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he can shed his maiden tag in this field.
MYSTIC VISION is having his first run for the Dean Smith stable. It must be noted that multiple horses from his last form line have come out and won since. If taking to the polytrack, he should go close to winning.
OUTBACK EXPRESS finished 0.1 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
RACE 8
GINGER DELIGHT has shown good improvement since relocating to the Eastern Cape. She ran on well and tried hard when touched off over 1600m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Canford Cliffs tries the 2200m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can return to winning ways.
FLASH LIGHTNING stayed on over 1600m on the turf last time. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will enjoy the rise to 2200m. From pole position, he should pose a threat.
A BIT CHILLY stayed on at the finish when third over 1900m on this course last time. The son of Last Winter steps up to 2200m for the first time. If seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can go close
