Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday 30th November where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
This is a weak Maiden Plate and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is GRAND FORCE from the Garth Puller stable. He was his own worst enemy over 1200m last time as he over raced, but stayed on to finish third. He has finished third in both his efforts over this C&D. The son of Global View drops back to 1000m and may be the one to side with.
BERRINGTON BLEW is better than her last start over this C&D. Her first two career outings were encouraging. The daughter of Oratorio has scope and if not in need of the run, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
BLACK FROST returns from a 19-week break which may have done him the world of good. He has inconsistent form lines to his name and if putting his best foot forward, he would not be a shock winner.
Race 2
LUHAMBA PHAMBILI is the best bet on the programme. He has good consistent form lines to his credit. He raced from just off the pace over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time and stayed on to finish third. The son of Danon Platina is the best-weighted runner in this contest and he can notch up his fourth-career victory.
KING OF THE GAULS is better than his recent form. Three of his five career victories have come over this distance. He has class about him and is one of the leading contenders.
VIHAAN’S WEB is the stable companion of the top choice. He returns from a well-deserved 22-week break. The son of Vercingetorix shows good speed and if not in need of the run, he may be hard to peg back.
Race 3
WHAT A PASSION showed pace over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but found one too good in the form of Showgirl who has come out and won again since. The daughter of What A Winter returns from a 10-week break which would have done her the world of good. If taking to the polytrack, she can shed her maiden tag.
PRIORY TERRACE has been costly to follow. She was a tad disappointing over 1000m on this course last time. If producing her earlier form, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
FLEUR DE LING showed some improvement when fourth over this C&D last time. She raced green, but stayed on at the finish. The daughter of New Predator is a progressive type and may have more to come.
Race 4
This is a weak Open Maiden for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is STRUTTING from the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable. She should have finished closer on debut as she was awkwardly placed at the 450m mark and the rider dropped his crop. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The daughter of Hawwaam would have gained from the experience and with luck from the widest draw, she can improve to win a race of this nature.
ROY’S BLOSSOM was disappointing in her last start over 1200m. She finished third on debut over this C&D. If finding the form of that outing, she should be involved at the finish.
TICKEY BOX was in need of her debut run over 1200m on this course. She would have come on from the run and should make the natural improvement.
Race 5
MOSCOW MISS finished 0.4 lengths behind VISION TO ACHIEVE last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She won her maiden over this C&D. The daughter of Global View is likely to race on the speed and from her good draw of two, she may be hard to peg back.
VISION TO ACHIEVE was outrun late over this distance on the turf last time. It must be noted that Captain’s Christy has come out and won again since. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off her back and the combination merit healthy respect.
CALL ME JANE showed speed when winning her last start over this distance on the turf. She finished third in her penultimate run over this C&D. The daughter of Querari is in a good space and should be involved at the finish.
Race 6
DAWN SURPRISE is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over 1200m on this course. She took the lead at the 400m mark last time and won easier than the official margin suggests. The daughter of Elusive Fort finished third in her only attempt over this distance. Cole Dicken retains the ride, and she can notch up the hat-trick.
MYSTIC DANCER fought hard for her maiden victory over 1000m on this course. The daughter of The United States takes on stronger, but she has scope and should be up to the task at hand.
AMEN CORNER stayed on when fourth over 1000m on the turf last time. She takes a drop in class and with a bit of luck from her awkward draw of nine, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 7
BANK STREET stayed on when sixth over this C&D last time. His form prior to that outing was consistent. The son of Global View takes a drop in class and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he may be the one to beat.
PLEASEDTOSEEYOU was running on when fifth over this C&D last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be doing his best work at the finish.
MOVING IN finished 1 length behind SHIMMERING last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. She has cracked pole position and would not be a shock winner.
Race 8
COUNTER ATTACK stayed on when fifth over 1000m on this course last time. The son of Querari continues to drop in the ratings and takes a drop in class. Serino Moodley is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
WINTER WAVES was running on when third over 1400m on this course last time. He has won once, finished second once and third three times from seven starts over this C&D. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Damyan Pillay retains the ride, and he can go close.
IBUTHO is better than his last start over 1400m. He finished third over this C&D in his penultimate outing. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of eight, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest
