Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Tuesday 9th December where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
This is a weak Open Maiden field and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is GORGEOUS BOMB from the Alyson Wright stable. She moved up well over this C&D last time before getting outrun late. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Bavish Soodoo which should assist her cause. From her good draw of four, she may be the one to side with.
XIPHOS finished 2.6 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 4kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
SUSURRANDO is lightly raced with moderate form lines to his name. He would have come on from his first outing as a gelding. The son of Captain Of All drops back to 1200m and cannot be ignored.
Race 2
MALSHANA MOU is the best bet on the programme. She ran a good race when second in her first outing for the Louis Goosen stable. She showed good speed and fought hard all the way to the line. It must be noted that Mystic Dancer has come out and won again since. The daughter of Vercingetorix would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. She meets the right field and can shed her maiden tag.
SUN IN MY POCKET lacked extra late when fourth over this C&D last time. She is back against her own sex and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
WINTER BLESSING returns from an 11-week break which may have done her the world of good. It must be noted that Showgirl has come out and won again since. If not in need of the run, she should earn another cheque for her patrons.
Race 3
KALI BWANA over raced in the early stages of her last start, but moved up well before getting pipped by Blue Poppy. The booking of Keagan de Melo is a big plus. If seeing out the extra 200m on offer, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
BLACK PLATINA was running on when third over this trip on the turf last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. Apprentice Dezahn Louw takes the 4kgs off his back which will assist his cause. From pole position, he is one of the leading contenders.
CAPTAIN‘S DYNASTY found one too good in the form of Drielandenpunt last time. The son of Captain Of All is a progressive type and may have more to come.
Race 4
GREEN GLOW followed up his maiden win with a good victory over 1900m on this course. He took time to get going that day, but won going away. The drop to 1600m should not pose a concern. He jumps from pole position and can bring up the hat-trick.
EVENTIDOR won a game race over 2000m on this course last time. He took the lead at the 400m mark and kept finding all the way to the line. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Dezahn Louw takes the 4kgs off his back. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
RUN TO RIO was running on when fourth over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He finished 0.3 lengths behind EL REY VIENE in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 5
NOW I GOT YOU finished 1.7 lengths behind SAIL TO THE MOON last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has cracked a good draw of four and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can notch up his fifth-career victory.
SAIL TO THE MOON won a game race over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Querari is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.
LOU LOU THE LEGEND ran on powerfully when winning his last start over this C&D. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Ideal World is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his awkward draw of eight, and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 6
PRINCESS GOLDIE stayed on at the finish when fifth over 1200m on the turf last time. She won a good race in her penultimate outing over this C&D. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight jumps from a good draw of three and may be the one to beat.
SPINMYANGELSSPIN was an easy winner of her last start over this C&D. She took the lead at the 400m mark and won with a ton in hand. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
MRSGLITTERSPARKLES finished 2.5 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
Race 7
PURPLE FLOWER finished strongly when second over this C&D last time. She has won once and finished second three times from five starts over this C&D. The daughter of Time Thief drops back in class and if keeping on a straight line, she can go one better.
THERE SHE GOES hails from the visiting Weiho and Warrick Marwing stable. She stayed on when fourth over 1000m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She is having her peak run and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
QUENTASIA ran a decent race when third over this C&D last time. The daughter of Querari is an honest individual and should be involved at the finish.
Race 8
UNITED NATION is unbeaten from three starts since joining the Darryl Moore stable. He set the pace over 1200m last time and held on where it matters most. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto steps back into the saddle which will assist his cause. The son of One World is clearly in a good space and can keep his unbeaten record on this course intact.
TRAFALGAR SQUARE finished 2.9 lengths behind FATE OF FORTUNE last time. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
FATE OF FORTUNE is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. He takes a rise in class, but is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick
