Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Sunday 1st February where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

TRAIL RUNNER found one too good in the form of Continental King over this C&D last time. She is having her peak run and is back against her own sex. Keagan de Melo is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

MRS STORMIATRIX returns from a 15-week break and is having her first run for the Tony Peter stable. Her penultimate run when third over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville was encouraging. If not in need of the run, she should have good improvement to come.

EMERALD COUNTESS was running on when second over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course last time. If confirming her recent improvement, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 2

This is a weak Maiden Plate and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is SPACE MISSION from the Sean Tarry stable. He has been a tad disappointing in his last two starts. The son of Willow Magic finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. He gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand. In this field, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

MONKEY‘S WEDDING was disappointing in his last start over 1200m at the Vaal. His three efforts prior to that outing were fair. If putting his best foot forward, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

MUSICAL WARFARE is an unraced son of Act Of War from the Fanie Bronkhorst stable with Raymond Danielson in the saddle. He does not need to be a stable superstar to win this race. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.

Race 3

BJORN IRONSIDE finished 0.05 lengths behind WINDS OF CHANGE last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. If Keagan de Melo is able to keep him on a straight line, he can return to winning ways.

WINDS OF CHANGE has finished third in his last three starts. He has won twice and finished third once from four starts over this C&D. The son of What A Winter merits healthy respect.

RIFLE QUEEN raced on the outside of the Vaal track when runner-up in the Listed Betway Swallow Stakes. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. Gavin Lerena retains the ride and the combination merit obvious consideration.

Race 4

DOUGLAS DRAGON was an easy winner of his last start over this C&D. He raced from a handy position, found a good kick and was geared down in the run down to the line. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Rachel Venniker retains the ride and the combination can follow up with another victory.

NEBRAAS is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. He has won once, finished second three times and third once from six starts over this C&D. On best form shown, he should be involved at the finish.

ENFLAME ran a fair race in his comeback run over 1800m on the Classic course. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. If getting away to a clean start, he can feature.

Race 5

PEACE TREATY finished 1.3 lengths behind CREPUSCOLO last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. Craig Zackey retains the ride, and the combination can go one better.

CREPUSCOLO finished 0.4 lengths behind FULL GO last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. He is in a good space and should be competitive.

FULL GO showed good improvement in his last start over 2000m at the Vaal. He lost a length leaving the start and ran on at the business end. If jumping on terms, he should be involved at the finish.

Race 6

CAPE SAFFRON raced from a handy position over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course last time and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Flower Alley is having her peak run and should be cherry-ripe. She will be suited to 1600m and with just 52kgs on her back, she can notch up her third-career victory. MOUNTAIN HIGH showed some signs of a form return when fourth over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She is having her peak run and should be cherry-ripe. Both her career victories have come on this course and she is one of the leading contenders.

ACCEPT COOKIES ran on strongly when second over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. She has won twice and finished second three times from six starts over this distance. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight merits healthy respect.

Race 7

ALTA CAPITANA has shown good improvement in her last two starts, the latest of which was over 2000m on the Vaal Classic course. She was running on nicely at the finish that day. The daughter of Captain Of All has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts on this track. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and she can return to winning ways.

SIGRID SWING finished 0.3 lengths behind SCARLETT HEART last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

SCARLETT HEART is better than her last start against male company. She has won once, finished second three times and third once from as many starts over this distance. She is back against her own sex and cannot be discounted.

Race 8

PRETTY ANALIA has fair recent form lines to her name. She continues to drop in the ratings and takes a drop in class. From pole position, she can return to winning ways on her stable debut.

MICHAEL FARADAY found one too good in the form of Mattiazo last time. He was touched off in his penultimate outing over this distance at the Vaal. He does have to overcome the widest draw, but gets the services of Gavin Lerena who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

GOLDEN ASPEN has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She stayed on at the finish over this distance at the Vaal last time. The daughter of Pomodoro will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 9

CHIEFTAIN‘S SHIELD‘S last two starts have been good. He set the pace over this distance at the Vaal last time before getting outrun late. The son of Vercingetorix is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. He is likely to race on the pace from his good draw of three and may be hard to peg back.

TINTIN was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over 1200m at the Vaal last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

COPPOLA is better than his last start over 1475m as he was reported to be distressed. He won his previous two efforts over 1600m. Jarryd Penny steps back into the saddle and he can go close
