Race 1
AMANDLA NGAWETHU has fair recent form lines to his name. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Savanna Valjalo which should assist his cause. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.
WORLD ORDER is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out and fatigued. His three efforts prior to that outing were good. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
ARIZONA MAGIC is better than his last start over this C&D. If finding the form of his penultimate outing, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 2
TOMMY ATKINS produced a creditable debut effort over this distance at Turffontein. He lost a length leaving the start, raced green but stayed on at the finish. He would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to beat.
LANCE ALOT ran a fair race on debut over 1160m at Turffontein. He was reported to be not striding out that day. He should enjoy the extra distance on offer and is one of the leading contenders.
AGOGE is an unraced son of Gimmethegreenlight from the Lucky Houdalakis stable with Craig Zackey booked to ride. He is related to multiple winners including Viva Rio and Viva De Janeiro. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.
Race 3
WINDS OF GRACE has been costly to follow but has consistent form lines to her name. She raced from a handy position last time, but found one too good in the form of Duchess Of Paloma. S’manga Khumalo retains the ride and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
AL GREENGA ran a decent race on debut over 1200m on this course. She was green in running, but stayed on at the finish. She returns from a 25-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. If not in need of the run, she should pose a threat.
ONCEINABLUEMOON has finished fourth in her last two starts. She is a progressive type and can finish in the placings.
Race 4
DELAWARE RIVER was running on when fourth over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. It must be noted that Lady Blunt and the second placed runner have come out and won since. She is having her peak run and can shed her maiden tag.

Race 5
KUDZU should have finished closer last time as he had to be steadied at the 200m mark. It must be noted that The Ultimate King has come out and won again since. He is having his peak run and with just 54kgs on his back, he may be the one to beat.
HOTARUBI ran a fair race in the Listed Allied Steelrode Java Stakes last time. He has won twice and finished second once from four starts on this course. On best form shown, he should be involved at the finish.
IMPERIAL MASTER produced a creditable comeback run when fifth over 1600m last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He will strip much fitter and would not be a shock winner.
Race 6
HAZY DAZY is a winner of her last three starts. She took the lead at the 400m mark last time and was geared down in the run down to the line. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She looks to have class about her and can notch up another victory.
ROYAL INVITATION ran a creditable race when third in the Listed Allied Steelrode Yellowwood Handicap last time. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Savanna Valjalo which will assist her cause. She jumps from pole position and another honest run is expected.
KISSING MACHINE stayed on when fourth in the Non-Black Type Allez France Stakes last time. She won her penultimate outing over this trip. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
Race 7
MATCHA MINT followed up her maiden win with a decent fourth-place finish over 1600m on the Turffontein Inside course. It must be noted that Dylan’s Champ has come out and won since. She should love the rise to 2000m and back against her own sex, she may be the one to beat.
SURPRISE PARTY took on a competitive field in the Grade 3 TAB Starling Stakes last time. She has plenty of scope and is a solid back-up for the Paul Matchett stable.
ETHICAL ran on strongly when winning her maiden over 1800m on the Classic course. She takes on stronger but is in a good space and may be up to the task at hand.
Race 8
THE MIGHTIEST has moderate recent form lines to her name. She continues to drop in the ratings and takes a drop in class. Kobeli Lihaba steps back into the saddle and in this field, she can return to winning ways.
GAMER did not go on with the effort over 1600m on this course last time. If finding the form of his penultimate run when victorious over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course, he should go close.
MICHAEL FARADAY is better than his last two starts. His last victory came over this distance on the Classic course. The blinkers have been removed and with Nathan Klink back in the saddle, he would not be a shock winner.
Race 9
COSMIC SPEED ran a cracker when fourth in the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Gold Challenge last time. He stayed on strongly at the finish that day. The son of Querari returns from a 24-week break and is making his seasonal debut. This outing will bring him on for future races, but he has class and should take a power of beating.
SHADOWFAX is the stable companion of the top choice. He stayed on when fourth over 1200m at the Vaal last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. With just 50.5kgs on his back, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
TEXAS RED is better than his last start as he was reported to be not striding out. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming Apprentice Savanna Valjalo which will assist his cause. On best form shown, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 10
The tentative first choice is CAPTAIN SELVIE from the Tony Peter stable. She showed some signs of needing her last start over 1160m at Turffontein. She would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. She won her maiden on this course and should give the males a run for their money.
SHE‘S ALL MINE has top form lines since relocating to the Brett Webber stable. She is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D and will be looking to keep that record intact.
PEREGRINE FALCON won a game race over this C&D last time. The fitting of the blinkers seems to have done the trick. He is in a good space and may be the first male past the post
