Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 14th August where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

RACE 1

SILVER ARROW produced an encouraging debut effort over this C&D, five weeks ago. It must be noted that the horses that finished second and third that day have come out and won since. The daughter of Canford Cliffs would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.

MAKEOVER MAGIC showed good improvement when second over 1000m on this course last time. She showed speed, but found one too good in the form of Clara Lume’. She is a progressive type and is one of the leading contenders.

AMONG THE WILLOWS produced a promising debut effort over this C&D. She returns from a 12-week break/suspension. If not in need of the run, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

RACE 2

SEATTLE GLOW is a progressive type who has shown improvement in each of her efforts to date. She raced from a handy position over this C&D last time and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Querari is coming along the right way and with luck in running, she can go one better.

WEEKEND IN ASPEN ran a good race when third on debut over this C&D. She lost a length leaving the start, understandably raced green but stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Futura would have come on from the run and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be competitive.

RED CHAI is an unraced son of Erik The Red from the Sharon Kotzen yard with Chase Maujean in the saddle. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.

 RACE 3

HOODWINKED won his last start at a nice price over this C&D. Despite over racing in the early stages, he finished off his race strongly. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Canford Cliffs is having his peak run and if switching off early, he can follow up.

MIO DESTINO was running on too late when third over 1200m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. With luck in running, he should pose a massive threat.

REAL WAR finished 1 length behind the second selection last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

RACE 4

HALF MOON ISLAND was an impressive winner when shedding his maiden tag over 1400m on this course last time. The son of Oratorio was returning from a lengthy 49-week break that day. He would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. He does take on stronger, but looks to have class about him and should be up to the task at hand.

SILENT TRIGGER ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. He is drawn in pole position and is one of the leading contenders.

PARDON ME finished 0.25 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result..

RACE 5

ZINOVI is the top bet on the programme. He is a winner of his last four starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. The 6yo gelding is versatile and carries a more suitable mass. If all goes according to plan, he can notch up his 12th-career victory.

FIREALLEY has decent recent form to his name. He finished 3.55 lengths behind the top choice, three runs ago. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.

LANCIAFIAMME has consistent form to his name. He finished 4 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

RACE 6

GOLDEN PALM is better than her last start in the Grade 1 TAB Empress Club Stakes. She returns from a 19-week break which would have done her the world of good. The daughter of Master Of My Fate prefers further, but she is the class horse and can notch up her sixth-career victory.

EXCEEDINGLY GLAM is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over 1100m on this course. The cheekpieces have done the trick. With a bit of luck in running, she can notch up the hat-trick.

SILVA CITY is better than her last start in the Listed East Cape Paddock Stakes. She was beaten a head over 1600m on this course in her penultimate effort. The daughter of Global View is likely to race on the pace and may be hard to peg back.

RACE 7

EPIKLEROS was slow into stride in the Listed East Cape Paddock Stakes last time, but ran on well for second. Her last victory came over this C&D. It is a competitive field, but if getting away on terms, she may be the one to beat.

ENCHANTING CHOICE finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

HELIOTROPE should have finished closer to the winner last time as she had to be switched at the 200m mark. She has won twice and finished third once from four starts on this course. She is back against her own sex and merits healthy respect.

RACE 8

ALADO‘S PRIDE finished 3.6 lengths behind SAN QUINTIN last time. He is 8.5kgs better off at the weights today which is enough to turn the form around. He is his own worst enemy as he gives away start. If getting away on terms, he can notch up his 10th-career victory.

SAN QUINTIN was an easy winner of his last start over this C&D. He received a six-pound penalty for that victory. He is in a good space and can follow up.

BLACKBERRY BREEZE was running on when second over 1600m on this course last time. He has finished second three times and third twice from seven starts over this distance. He is drawn wide, but Calvin Habib retains the ride and should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle
