Winning Form selections for Fairview on Friday 24th July where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
RACE 1
This is a weak Open Maiden and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is NIGHT IN JAPAN from the Jacques Strydom stable.
She finished 0.5 lengths behind LYRICS AND SONGS last time. She is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. She carries a light mass of 51kgs and if getting away on terms, she can shed her maiden tag.
SAPPHIRE SUN stayed on when fifth in her local debut over 1400m on the polytrack. The daughter of Master Of My Fate tries the 2400m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should pose a threat.
RACE 2
TIPSY raced from a handy position over 1200m on the polytrack last time, moved up before getting outrun late by Royal Dawn. She would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. The daughter of Trippi drops to 1000m and the blinkers will sharpen her up. She is a filly with scope and may be the one to beat.
REMIND ME OF YOU showed improvement when second over 1200m on the polytrack last time. The daughter of Real Gone Kid may prefer racing on the turf. She drops to 1000m and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
LUCY’S WORLD should have finished closer in her local debut over this distance on the polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She steps back onto the turf and if keeping on a straight line, she can finish in the placings.
RACE 3
SONG OF MYSELF is one of the better bets on the card. She showed a good turn of foot when winning the Non-Black Type East Cape Breeders Stakes last time. She has won three times and finished third once from five starts on this course. The daughter of Canford Cliffs meets a similar line-up and she can follow up with another victory.
PRISCILLA MAISEY should have finished closer to the winner last time as she had to be switched at the 300m mark. She is yet to win from 14 starts over this distance. However, she carries a handy galloping mass of 55kgs and cannot be discounted.
CHERRY OH BABY’S last two starts have been fair. Two of her four career victories have come over this distance. She is the stable elect with Richard Fourie aboard and merits healthy respect.
RACE 4
CIAN THE CONQUEROR is much better than his last start on the polytrack. He ran a cracker when beaten a head in his penultimate outing over 1400m on this course. Two of his three career victories have come over this distance. It is encouraging that Marco van Rensburg steps back into the saddle. If putting his best foot forward, he can cause a surprise.
WAROFDYNAMITE won his last start over 1000m on the polytrack easier than the official margin suggests. He has won once, finished second once and third three times from eight starts over this distance. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
NORTH STAR was outrun late when third over this distance on the polytrack last time. She has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts on this course. Andrew Fortune rides and he may be able to get the best out of her.
RACE 5
This is a competitive Merit Rated 86 Handicap and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is INGQWELE from the Cliffie Miller stable. He is a winner of his last three starts over this distance.
It must be noted that multiple horses from his last form line have come out and won since. The son of Fire Away races well fresh and from pole position, he may be the one to beat.
WORLD CHOICE was doing his best work late over 1400m on the polytrack last time. He finished 0.75 lengths behind SILVAN MISTRESS, three runs ago. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around.
Race 6
ALADO’S PRIDE has been his own worst enemy at the start in his last two efforts. He lost two lengths last time, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. Two of his eight career victories have come over this track and trip. If getting away on terms, he may be the one to cause the upset.
PYRO EDITION was running on when second over this distance on the polytrack last time. He has won twice from three starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck in running, he should be involved at the finish.
SLIVER OF SUNSHINE finished 4 lengths behind the second choice last time. He was reported to be not striding out that day. On best form shown, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 7
Trainer Alan Greeff holds a strong hand in this contest and can saddle the first three past the post. GIMMETHATWORLDCUP was an impressive winner when shedding his maiden tag over 1600m on the polytrack last time.
He took the lead at the 400m mark that day and drew clear with ease. The son of Gimmethegreenlight takes on stronger, but he looks to have class about him and should be up to the task at hand.
CHATTERBOX showed speed when winning her maiden over 1000m on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She would have strengthened up during her time off the track and if fit, she should be competitive.
CASPERITA won a good race against older horses over this distance on the polytrack last time. She won on debut on this course. The daughter of Fire Away is loaded with ability and merits healthy respect.
RACE 8
TEEREX has good consistent form to his credit. He was running on when fourth over 1400m on the polytrack last time. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. Muzi Yeni steps back into the saddle and on the form of his penultimate run when victorious, he should go close.
KING VISERYS was doing his best work late over 1400m on the polytrack last time. He won his only attempt over this C&D. Kyle Strydom retains the ride and if jumping on terms, he should pose a threat. REAL WAR finished 1.5 lengths behind TRAVEL MASTER last time
