Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday 20th June where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
RIFF RAFF BOY caught the eye when fifth over 1400m in the Listed Ridgemont Gatecrasher Stakes last time. His penultimate run when third over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville was encouraging. He jumps from a good draw of four and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can return to winning ways.
BETTER NEVER ENDS is better than his last start in the Grade 1 Gold Medallion. His previous two efforts at Turffontein were good. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
ANUSHKA is better than her last start in the Grade 2 Allan Robertson Championship. It is encouraging that Keagan de Melo steps back into the saddle. She is a filly with scope and cannot be discounted.
Race 2
SILVER TUDOR showed a good turn of foot to win his last start over this distance at the Vaal. He returns from a 32-week break. The son of Lance finished 0.5 lengths behind TARA STAR in this race last year. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. If not in need of the run, he can notch up his sixth-career victory.
TARA STAR showed speed over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time and stayed on to finish second. She is having her peak run today and she should be cherry-ripe. The daughter of Just As Well can defend her title.
FORTRESS OF FIRE ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. The son of Fire Away has ability and with luck in running, he should produce another honest performance.
Race 3
FINE WINE ran on from last when second over 1800m on this course last time. She has won twice and finished second twice from as many starts over this distance. Mickaelle Michel rides and if not too far out of her ground, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
BLIZZARDBOY followed up his maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 2000m on this course. He cost himself winning that day as he hung inwards in the final 250m. If keeping on a straight line, he should go close.
HAT’S QUEEN finished fourth in this race last year and has not had a run since. The booking of Craig Zackey is encouraging and if fit, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 4
WATER HYACINTH is lightly raced with fair form to her credit. She was backed into favourite when fourth over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. She is having her peak run and should enjoy the rise to 1400m. With a bit of luck in running, she can shed her maiden tag.
OWNER OF CREATION is still a maiden after 30 starts but has finished second in his last three outings. He does have a wide draw to overcome, but Keagan de Melo knows him well and should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
LIZ HURLEY did not go on with the effort over 1200m on the polytrack last time. The daughter of Danon Platina steps up to 1400m. She carries a handy galloping mass of 53kgs and if suited to the extra distance on offer, she can finish in the placings.
Race 5
TEARS OF THE SUN showed good improvement when second over 1200m on the polytrack last time. She lost a length leaving the start and finished off her race strongly. The daughter of Chimichuri Run will love the rise to 1600m and if confirming her recent improvement, she can shed her maiden tag.
VALLI GAL stayed on when fifth over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
HAPPY HOOVES showed signs of needing her last start over 1400m on the polytrack. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. From her handy draw of four, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 6
CURIOUS GIRL raced from a handy position in the Listed Lonsdale Stirrup Cup last time and stayed on to finish third. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She won a good race in the Grade 2 TAB SA Derby in her penultimate outing. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and if all goes according to plan, she should take a power of beating.
GERBERA got up on the line when winning her last start in the Listed East Coast Cup. The manner in which she finishes off her races suggests that she should not have any issues with the extra 400m on offer. Craig Zackey knows her well and the combination merit healthy respect.
WOMAN’S WORLD won her last start over 1600m at the Vaal. She finished 0.7 lengths behind the second selection in her penultimate outing. She is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
Race 7
This is a competitive KZN Breeders Mile field and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is GOLDEN OPERATOR from the Sean Tarry stable. He is better than his last start in the Non-Black Type Betway Secretariat Stakes as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. He finished second in his only attempt on this course. He is drawn widest, but Craig Zackey is likely to give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
PALACE PRINCE is better than his last two starts, the latest of which was in the Non-Black Type Egoli Mile. He is the highest rated horse in this contest and if all went well with his travels, he can show good improvement.
GO GRAYSON GO ran a fair race in the Listed Lonsdale Stirrup Cup last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The booking of Richard Fourie is encouraging and he may be hard to peg back.
Race 8
HAT’S MAMBO stayed on when third over 1400m on this course last time. The son of Hat Puntano should love the rise to 1600m. He is a horse with scope and from his good draw of three, he should fight out the finish.
SPACE MISSION is better than his last start over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course. He had to overcome the widest draw that day and never got into the race. On his previous form, he should pose a threat. He is carded to race on 18 June 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.
LIMITLESS SKY has been disappointing in her last two starts. She is the highest rated horse in this contest and with luck in running, she can show good improvement.
Race 9
TOMMY GREANEY ran a fair race behind Rich Man’s World in the Grade 3 Tote Godolphin Barb Stakes last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Willow Magic is having his first outing as a gelding. He is a horse with ability and if taking to the polytrack, he may be the one to beat.
MISTY METAL should have finished closer last time as she took an awkward stride at the 200m mark. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She drops back in class and is one of the leading contenders.
PARATROOPER ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and if confirming his recent improvement, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
