QUERARISTINYFERARI showed pace over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but found one too good in the form of Thyme To Talk. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
ROYAL CREST has finished second in her last two starts. She should have finished closer last time as she hung outwards in the final 200m. With luck in running, she should be involved at the finish.
Race 2
PUTTHELIGHTSOUT found one too good in the form of Vibe Check last time. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and should love the rise to the mile. If taking to the polytrack, he may be the one to beat.
PRINCESS TRIPPI raced from a handy position over this distance on the turf last time and stayed on to finish second. The daughter of Trippi is coming along the right way and if taking to the polytrack, she should give the males a run for their money.
PLACE OF PRACTICE set the pace over 1400m on the turf last time, but found one too good in the form of Beyond All Doubt. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has finished second on this surface previously. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
Race 3
BLENHEIM PALACE was in need of her debut effort over 1400m on this course. She lost two lengths leaving the start, understandably raced green but stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Fire Away would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1600m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.
GIMME THE POWER has finished third in her last four starts. She jumped inwards leaving the start over 1400m last time and stayed on at the finish. She will love the extra distance on offer and is a big threat.
PEACE ROSE has finished third in all four starts to date. The daughter of Querari steps up to the mile and tries the cheekpieces. With luck in running, she should be competitive.
Race 4
MS GALORE stayed on at the finish over 1900m on this course last time. The daughter of Bezrin will love the rise to 2000m. She takes a drop in class and from her handy draw of five, she can return to winning ways.
LA MADDALENA was running on when second over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. Her last victory came over 1900m on the turf. The daughter of New Predator has no stamina issues and is one of the leading contenders.
PRINCESS PALACE finished 1.2 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
Race 5
This is a competitive Class 5 contest for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first choice is K M V RETROFIT from the Paul Lafferty stable. She stayed on when third over 1400m on this course in her comeback run. The daughter of Royal Mo would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. With luck in running, she can go close.
CLOUDS CLEARING showed massive improvement when second over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She is back against her own sex and if confirming her recent improvement, she should feature.
GOLDEN ANGEL ran a fair race over 1900m on this course last time. The daughter of Gold Standard drops back in class and from pole position, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 6
ICE RAIN ran on strongly when second over 1500m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. She cost herself winning that day as she hung inwards in the final 400m. The daughter of Vercingetorix is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. Apprentice Dezahn Louw takes the 2.5kgs off her back and if keeping on a straight line, she may be the one to beat.
TOMYRIS finished 0.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
EDUCATOR finished 3.1 lengths behind the top selection last time. She is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
Race 7
PRINCESS GOLDIE’S last start is best ignored as she was reported to be not striding out. She returns from a 12-week break which may have done her the world of good. She has won over this distance previously. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight drops back in class and if not in need of the run, she can go close.
POETIC PRINCESS won a good race over this distance on the turf last time. She received a four-pound penalty for that victory. From pole position, she can follow up.
BLIND SPEED finished 1.75 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights which is enough to turn the form around. However, the draw is not in her favour.
Race 8
HEAVEN’S WILL has shown good signs of a form return in his last two starts. He raced from a handy position over this C&D last time and tried hard all the way to the line. With luck in running, he can return to winning ways in this line-up.
MASK ON stayed on when fifth over 1200m on this course last time. He would have come on from the outing. If this run has not come too soon, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
