RAZZPATH REBEL produced an encouraging debut effort over this C&D. The son of Pathfork would have come on from the outing and with racing experience on this course, he should be involved at the finish.
Race 2
TIMELESS was super-impressive when winning on debut over 1160m on the Standside course. The son of Futura returns from a 20-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. He is bred to love the rise to 1450m and with Richard Fourie retaining the ride, he can remain unbeaten.
DAWSON‘S ANVIL is better than his last start in the Non-Black Type Betway Secretariat Stakes. He returns from a 19-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Rafeef has class about him and if fit, he should fight out the finish.
RAPTOR KING fought hard for his last victory over 1400m at the Vaal. He returns from a 13-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of New Predator takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and should give a good account of himself.
Race 3
JIMMY VEGA was a beaten odds-on favourite over 1600m on this course last time. He returns from a short nine-week break, during which time he was gelded. The booking of Richard Fourie is a big plus and if getting away on terms, he may be the one to beat.
PURPLE RAIN was running on when second over this C&D last time. She returns from a 10-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. Should the top choice fluff his lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
GREEN FAIRWAY is an unraced son of Gimmethegreenlight from the Joe Soma stable with Muzi Yeni in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including Battleground and Sir Michael. If not in need of the run, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.

STORM AVALANCHE has produced two creditable efforts behind two quality fillies. She stayed on when second over 1160m on the Standside course last time. The daughter of Rafeef returns from a 20-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. If not in need of the run, she may be the one to beat.
EMPRESS OF PEACE has consistent form to her name. She finished third over this C&D last time. She is drawn widest of all, but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
PENNYS CHOICE raced from a prominent position over 1000m last time and stayed on to finish fourth. She steps up to 1450m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should have a say.
Race 5
FIERCENESS found one too good in the form of Gimme Some Luck last time. He returns from a 12-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Hawwaam was an impressive winner on debut over this distance. He has some class about him and if fit, he may be the horse to beat.
AFRICAN PRINCE stayed on when third over 1160m on the Standside course last time. The son of Gimmethegreenlight runs well for Richard Fourie. He drops back in class and is one of the leading contenders.
CONTINENTAL KING followed up his maiden win with a creditable effort over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course. He returns from a 34-week break. The son of Rafeef has scope and if not in need of the run, he should have a say.
Race 6
DRUMNADROCHIT was running on when third in the Listed KRA Cup Off To Stud Stakes last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She won her only attempt on this course. The daughter of Rafeef will strip much fitter and she should give the males a run for their money.
DIOGENES was in need of his comeback run over 1600m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He will enjoy the rise to 1800m and should strip much fitter.
PALACE PRINCE was an easy winner of his last start over this distance on the Standside course. The tongue-tie has done the trick on the son of Potala Palace. He is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.

AINT NO DOUBT raced wide around the turn over 1500m last time, but stayed on to finish second behind Brave Waam. The son of Elusive Fort will enjoy the rise to 1800m. Gavin Lerena rides and with luck in running, the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
SPECIAL ENVOY followed up his debut victory with a creditable fourth-place finish over 1600m. The son of Master Of My Fate will love the rise to 1800m. He has plenty of scope and should pose a massive threat.
NARETOI showed a good turn of foot when winning his last start over this C&D. He received plenty of betting support that day. The son of Danon Platina received a five-pound penalty. If this run has not come too soon, he can follow up.

ELUSIVE RED won a good race over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course last time. He raced from a prominent position and drew off in the run down to the line. CAMILLO CAVOUR was victorious on debut over 1200m on this course. It must be noted that the horses that finished second and third that day have come out and won since. The son of Master Of My Fate takes on stronger, but he could be anything and can remain unbeaten.
SUPER AWESOME is better than his last start. He takes a drop in class and with the services of Richard Fourie, he may find a form return.
Race 9
SECRETARY BIRD is better than her last start in the Grade 1 Premiers Champion Stakes. She finished third in the Grade 2 Omoda Golden Horseshoe in her penultimate effort. The daughter of Rafeef has shown class and with just 50kgs on her back, she can start her season on a winning note.
MAX THE MAGICIAN ran a good race when second in the Listed Betway Spring Spree Stakes last time. He has won twice and finished second once from eight starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
