Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Thursday 9th April where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
Race 1
TRACKSUIT DAVE showed good improvement when second over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course last time. He challenged strongly all the way to the line, but found one too good in the form of Shoreybomba. The son of Fire Away is a progressive type and in this field, he should be the one to beat.
MASTEROFTHEBAROQUE raced wide around the turn last time without cover. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He is a horse with scope and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
BEACH WALKER finished 5.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
Race 2
FORRIES FAVOURITE showed some improvement when fourth over 1450m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Gold Standard is a progressive type and should enjoy the rise to 1600m. In this field, she may be the one to beat.
PROPHECIES ran a fair race over 1450m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She is a progressive type and may have more to come.
VERDANDI was in need of her debut effort over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course. The daughter of Erik The Red would have gained from the experience and can show improvement.
Race 3
GREAT RIFT VALLEY is the top bet on the programme. The son of Malmoos produced a promising debut effort over 1450m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1600m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.
FIELD OF DREAMS is an unraced son of Chimichuri Run from the Alson Ndzilana stable with S’manga Khumalo in the saddle. He is related to two-time winner Sensoria. If not too green in running, he should give a good account of himself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.
THE NAME OF DLADLA showed good improvement when third over 1400m last time. If confirming that effort, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 4
NICOLSON LANDING should have finished closer to the winner last time. She stumbled leaving the start and had to be eased at the 150m mark. The daughter of Admiral Kitten is coming along the right way and in this line-up, she can shed her maiden tag.
MADE TO MEASURE finished 2.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
MIRACULOUS MOMENT was a tad disappointing over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. Her debut effort over 1160m on the Standside course was encouraging. She is a filly with scope and would not be a shock winner.
Race 5
MONEY HEIST stayed on when third over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. He won his only attempt over this C&D. With a bit of luck in running, he may be the one to beat. He is carded to race on 04 April 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.
KING’S EXPRESS showed good signs of a form return when third over 1800m on the Standside course last time. Three of his seven career victories have come over this distance. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
ARISTOTLE was given a peach of a ride when winning the Listed TAB Dr Richard Maponya Handicap last time. He returns from a well-deserved 11-week break. If not in need of the run, he can follow up with another victory.
Race 6
WAYNE set the pace over 1600m on this course last time before getting outrun late by Fire Storm. The son of Vercingetorix carries a handy galloping weight of 54kgs and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can go one better.
HAWKBILL won his last start easier than the official margin suggests over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course. He returns from a well-deserved 17-week break. If not in need of the run, he should be competitive.
DANCE KING has consistent form lines to his credit. He has won twice and finished third twice from eight starts on this course. With a bit of luck in running, he should feature.
Race 7
ARIOVISTUS produced a good first outing for the Tony Peter stable. He took the lead at the 350m mark before getting outrun late. He would have come on from the outing and from pole position, he can go one better.
EXPRESS YOURSELF finished 2.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
ROYAL ENGAGEMENT finished 3.2 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this distance. The son of Potala Palace cannot be ignored.
Race 8
LADY SABRINA is better than her last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. Her penultimate run when fourth over 1600m on the Standside course was encouraging. She has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. On best form shown, she would not be a surprise winner. RINGA
RINGA ROSES was slow into stride over this C&D last time, but stayed on to finish fourth. She would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. She drops back in class and can go close.
STREISAND lasted long enough when winning her last start over 1600m on the Standside course. She is in a good space and may be hard to peg back.
Race 9
FATHER CHRISTMAS finished 1.25 lengths behind DRIVELIKEAMASTER last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. From pole position, he can notch up his third-career victory.
DRIVELIKEAMASTER raced from a handy position over this C&D last time, moved up before getting caught late by Bjorn Ironside. He returns to Handicap Company and is one of the leading contenders.
SUTHERLAND is better than his last two starts. He gets the services of in-form 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson and on best form shown, he can earn a cheque
