Winning Form selections for racing from the Vaal on Thursday 17th September where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

CHANCELLOR produced a decent debut effort over 1160m at Turffontein. He took time to find his feet, but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. The son of Hawwaam returns from a 12-week break, during which time he was gelded. He meets the right field and if fit, he can shed his maiden tag.

BEACH WALKER‘S last start is best ignored as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. On best form shown, he can fill the exacta spot.

HATTORI HANZO finished 4.9 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 2

POLLY PLUMMER has been a tad disappointing in her last two starts. She returns from an 11-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. Her debut effort when second over this C&D, catches the eye. She meets the right field and may be the one to beat.

STEEL AND SATIN is an unraced daughter of Master Of My Fate from the Tony Peter stable with Keagan de Melo up. She is related to five-time winner Cruzador. If not in need of the experience, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.

DESERT DIAMOND is an unraced daughter of Hawwaam from the Dianne Stenger stable with Marco van Rensburg aboard. She is related to six-time winner Imperial Power. If not too green in running, she should give a good account of herself.

Race 3

SWORD OF LIGHT raced from a handy position over 1800m on the Turffontein Inside course last time, but found one too good in the form of Nicci’s Law. She was beaten a neck over this distance in her penultimate outing. The daughter of William Longsword can go one better.

ALITTLEBITOFLOVE showed massive improvement when second over 1400m last time. The daughter of Master Of My Fate will love the rise to the mile. She is a progressive type and may have more to come.

LEANNE‘S LOVE almost caused an upset over 1400m on this course last time. If confirming that effort, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 4

TAKEYOURBESTSHOT has changed stables since his last victory over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack. He has won twice, finished second three times and third once from seven starts over this distance. The son of What A Winter races well fresh and he may be the one to beat.

SPACE MISSION looked threatening in his last start before getting outrun late. He has won once and finished second once from five starts over this distance. Apprentice Anaas Mosaheb retains the ride, and he is one of the leading contenders.

REDLIGHTGREENLIGHT did not go on with the effort over 1500m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. He has won twice from three starts over this C&D. On his previous form, he should be competitive.

Race 5

CARTAGENA set the pace over 2000m on this course last time before getting outrun late by Art Nouveau. She finished 2.1 lengths behind EUPHRATES in her penultimate outing and is 2kgs better off at the weights. She has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts over this C&D. She is having her peak run today and with luck in running, she should go close.

EUPHRATES ran on strongly when winning his last start over this C&D. He received a five-pound penalty for that victory. He is carded to race on 10 September 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

ROSY LEMON finished 1.9 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. She is carded to race on 12 September 2026 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 6

MISSION TO MARS followed up his impressive maiden victory with a good win over this distance at Turffontein. He received an eight-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Sea The Stars has class about him and against a similar line-up, he should take a power of beating.

TITANS OF WAR finished 0.05 lengths behind ROYAL EDITION last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

ROYAL EDITION was outrun late when second over 1800m on this course last time. Three of his four career victories have come over this distance. From pole position, he may be hard to peg back.

Race 7

ROCK MY BOAT has finished second in his last two starts. He challenged strongly over 1600m last time, but found one too good in the form of Peace Treaty. 2.5kgs claiming Apprentice Anaas Mosaheb retains the ride. He is drawn on the outside of the track and can go one better.

UBERMENSCH finished 1.45 lengths behind SAIL THE SKY last time. He is 5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. He is carded to race on 12 September 2026 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

SPY STORY ran on powerfully when winning his last start over this C&D. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this C&D. He is in a good space and should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 8

EHHFIFTEENKJOE showed good signs of a form return when third over 1500m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. He raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. He takes a drop back in class and with Philasande Mxoli retaining the ride, he can go close.

SALUTE THE FLAG has been facing stronger in recent efforts. He has dropped in the ratings and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, he should pose a massive threat.

COMING IN HOT stayed on when fifth over 1400m on this course last time. He has won twice and finished third once from seven starts over this C&D. If confirming his recent improvement, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 9

This is a competitive Pinnacle Stakes field and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is TRUTH from the Candice and Tammy Dawson stable. He is better than his last start in the Grade 1 TAB Computaform Sprint. He returns from a 24-week break which would have done him the world of good. His last victory came over this C&D. He races well fresh and may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

GREEN DIAMOND stayed on at the finish in the Grade 1 Mercury Sprint last time. She is making her seasonal debut and carries a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs. Should the top choice fluff his lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

MOUNT PINATUBO lasted long enough when winning his last start over this distance at Turffontein. He is in a good space and merits obvious consideration
