Winning Form selections for racing from the Vaal on Thursday 30th July where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1

RAFEEF‘S QUEEN showed good improvement when second over 1000m last time. She stayed on at the finish but found one too good in the form of Indecent Obsession. The daughter of Rafeef is a progressive type and will enjoy the rise to 1200m. Gavin Lerena steps into the saddle and she can go one better.

PRETTY GIRL is an unraced daughter of Rafeef from the Sean Tarry yard with Craig Zackey in the saddle. She is related to multiple winners including Slings And Arrows and Takeyourbestshot. If not in need of the experience, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.

NAVIGATRIX is an unraced daughter of Vercingetorix from the Paul Matchett stable with Philasande Mxoli doing duty. She is related to four-time winner Meetatthewindsor. If not too green in running, she should give a good account of herself.

Race 2

TENAREEF made the expected natural improvement when third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He cost himself winning that day as he hung outwards in the closing stages. The son of Rafeef is coming along the right way and if keeping on a straight line, he may be the one to beat.

CAPTAIN COOPER was disappointing in his last start over 1500m. Gavin Lerena rides and on the form of his penultimate effort, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

RED VIKING is an unraced son of Erik The Red from the Paul Matchett stable with Philasande Mxoli in the saddle. He is related to four-time winner Magical Sky. If not in need of the experience, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.

Race 3

TWO TIGERS over raced in the early stages of his last start, but stayed on to finish third. The son of Flower Alley drops back to 1200m. He meets the right field and if getting away on terms, he can shed his maiden tag.

BEAUTIFUL ONE has fair recent form to her name. She is likely to race on the speed from pole position and may be hard to peg back.

DREADNOUGHT is an unraced son of Gimmethegreenlight from the Clinton Binda stable with Calvin Habib in the saddle. He is related to four-time winner On My Honour. If not in need of the experience, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.

Race 4

DUKE OF LORRAINE was a beaten odds-on favourite over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Rafeef is a progressive type and from pole position, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

CRIMSON RANGER showed good improvement when third over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time. The son of Declarationofpeace is coming along the right way and is one of the leading contenders.

VIXENINTHEVINEYARD is still a maiden after 21 starts. She finished second over this distance at Turffontein last time. She has finished second twice and third once from four starts on this course. Calvin Habib retains the ride, and she should give the males a run for their money.

Race 5

FRANGIPANI is a winner of her last two starts, the latest of which was over 1800m on the Turffontein Inside course. The daughter of Master Of My Fate drops back in class and is in a good space. She will be running on and can notch up the hat-trick.

AZALEAS FOR ALL finished 1.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough to turn the form around.

SURPRISE PARTY is better than her last start in the Grade 3 TAB Sea Cottage Stakes. She has finished second in both her efforts over this distance. From pole position, she should find a form return.

Race 6

HOPSCOTCH finished 0.1 lengths behind PLAY WITH FIRE last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough to turn the form around. She is back against her own sex and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she can notch up her second-career victory.

PLAY WITH FIRE has fair recent form to her name. The daughter of Master Of My Fate has dropped in the ratings. Gavin Lerena rides and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

UTSAAH stayed on when fifth over 1600m at Turffontein last time. She drops in class and is back against her own sex. Keagan de Melo rides and the combination cannot be discounted.

Race 7

COVER CHARGE won a good race when shedding his maiden tag over 1800m last time. He raced from a handy position, moved up and kept finding to hold all challengers at bay. The son of Erik The Red should be at home over this distance. He takes on stronger, but has plenty of scope and can follow up with another victory.

ITSNOWORNEVER is better than his last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. Craig Zackey retains the ride which is encouraging. On the form of his penultimate run, he should be competitive.

RED SPARROW had excuses leaving the start last time. His penultimate run when third over 1800m on the Turffontein Inside course was encouraging. If getting his own way in front, he may be hard to peg back.

Race 8

TWENTYTWENTYVISION has good recent form to his name. He showed speed over this distance at Turffontein last time before tiring late. The son of Royal Mo takes a drop in class and despite his big mass, he can return to winning ways.

TAKING A RISK showed speed over this C&D last time, but found one too good in the form of Catfish who has come out and won again since. Gavin Lerena retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

HAMMER BLOW finished 1.5 lengths behind the second selection in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

Race 9

SATYAGRAHA stayed on when third over 1400m at Turffontein last time. The son of One World has dropped in the ratings and takes a drop in class. The booking of Keagan de Melo is encouraging and from his good draw of three, he can notch up his second-career victory.

LADY ELLIOT ran a good race when third over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She has won once, finished second twice and third once from six starts over this trip. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

SNOW MOON got up on the line to win his last start over 1600m at Turffontein. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the wide draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners
