Race 1 

ENDIZAYO is better than her last start in a competitive maiden over 1160m on the Standside course. She returns from an 11-week break which would have done her the world of good. Her first three career outings were good. If not in need of this outing, she may be the one to beat.

DESERT CLOUD was running on when second over this distance on the Standside course last time. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. She is a progressive type and is one of the leading contenders.

PANTHERA UNCIA finished 1 length behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and she may have to settle for the same result.

Race 2

IT’S PERSONAL returns from a lengthy 42-week break, during which time he was gelded. His last outing when third behind Cosmic Speed was encouraging. Piere Strydom is booked to ride on his return which is a big plus. If not in need of this outing, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

OLD FASHIONED showed very good improvement in his last start over this distance on the Standside course. He was slow into stride, but finished off his race strongly. If confirming that effort, he should pose a massive threat.

TANA MAREE showed good improvement in her last start over 1160m. She returns from a lengthy 41-week break. The daughter of Trippi has plenty of scope and must be included in all bets.

Race 3

HIGH QUEUE has consistent form lines to his credit. He won his maiden over this C&D, four runs ago. The son of Master Of My Fate returns from a 14-week break which would have done him the world of good. He jumps from a good draw of two and if fit, he can notch up his third-career victory.

IMMEDIATE EDGE won a good race on debut over 1600m on the Standside course. The son of Vercingetorix quickened up well and won going away that day. He takes on stronger, but could be anything and can remain unbeaten.

BEYNAC was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course. The son of Querari is a progressive type and must be included in all bets.

Race 4

ONE RELIGION has good form lines to her credit. She had excuses in her last start, but was not disgraced in second. The daughter of Silvano is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and if jumping on terms, she can return to winning ways.

ROSY LEMON has fair consistent form lines to her credit. She ran on from last when third over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She has won once and finished second twice from six starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ELEMBEE finished 0.8 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

 

 

Race 5

TINTAMARRE ran a fair race over 1400m on the Standside course last time. The son of Fire Away is bred to love the rise to 1600m. He takes a big drop in class and gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto which will assist his cause. From his good draw of three, he can notch up his second-career victory.

FUTUREWOLFF was an easy winner of his last start over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course. He received an eight-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Futura is in a good space and is one of the leading contenders.

OMBUDSMAN ran a fair race over 1400m on the Standside course last time. He won his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Flower Alley is carded to race on 06 February 2025 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

Race 6

LITTLE BALLERINA ran a fair race in the Grade 2 World Pool With Gold Circle Debutante last time. She returns from a 29-week break and makes her seasonal debut. The daughter of Vercingetorix would have strengthened up during her time off the track. She has won twice and finished third once from four starts over this distance. If not in need of this outing, she should be too good for this field.

JUST BE LEKKER was in need of her comeback run over 1160m last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course. She is a solid back up for the Candice Dawson stable.

CHROME TOURMALINE finished 2.65 lengths behind FOREVERINMYDREAMS last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

Race 7

GREEN SAPPHIRE followed up her maiden win with an equally impressive victory over 1160m on the Standside course. She quickened up well and was geared down in the run down to the line. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight takes another rise in class, but she has plenty of ability and should bring up the hat-trick.

FASTNET FILLY has good consistent form lines to her credit. She took the lead at the 300m mark last time before getting outrun late by Night Bomber. Kabelo Matsunyane retains the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.

GREEN FLASH was a tad disappointing in her last start over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course. The 20-week break would have done her the world of good. Gavin Lerena rides on her return and she cannot be ignored.

Race 8

MY ONE AND ONLY should have finished closer to the winner in her last start over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Girish Dookhit which should assist her cause. With a bit of luck in running, she may be the one to beat.

HEIRLOOM finished 2.2 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

THERE SHE GOES ran a fair race over 1160m on the Standside course last time. Three of her five career victories have come over this distance. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should have a say
