CAPTAIN’S PRIDE should have finished closer to the winner on debut as she raced green and she hesitated between runners at the 150m mark. The daughter of Captain Of All would have come on from the run and with luck in running, she may be the one to cause the upset.
BELL OF ANGELUS was a tad disappointing in her stable debut over 1000m on this course. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her at the finish.
Race 2
PRINCESS GOLDIE raced from just off the pace over this C&D last time and stayed on to finish fourth. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is coming along the right way and in this field, she can shed her maiden tag.
ARE YOU SURE has been costly to follow in her last three starts. She stayed on when second over 1100m on this course last time. The daughter of Futura would have come on from the outing and should strip fitter. Sean Veale is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
SHESHA NTOMBI finished 0.8 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result. The booking of Gavin Lerena is a big plus.
Race 3
GOOD LIVING has consistent form lines to his credit. He should have won his last start as he hung and had to be steadied at the 200m mark. The son of Querari meets the right field today and if keeping on a straight line, he should be the one to beat.
TREND MAKER’S last two starts have been fair. This is his first run on the straight course. The son of Potala Palace has scope and is one of the leading contenders.
LITTLE CRACKER finished 2.9 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
Race 4
NARINA TROGON finished 0.8 lengths behind IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won once and finished second twice from four starts on this course. The son of Silvano can bring up his sixth-career victory.
IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over 1750m on this course. The 6yo gelding won his only attempt over this C&D. He is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.
FORMAGEAR set the pace over 1400m on this course last time and fought hard all the way to the line. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and if getting his own way in front, he may be hard to peg back.
Race 5
JP’S PALACE is lightly raced with good form lines to his credit. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had to be switched for running room at the 100m mark. The son of Potala Palace is having his peak run and jumps from pole position. With a bit of luck in running, he can return to winning ways.
GLOBAL MOVEMENT has consistent form lines to his name. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this C&D. His last victory came under Gavin Lerena and the combination merit healthy respect.
JAZZ FESTIVAL received a bump at the 100m mark last time which didn’t help his chances. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his awkward draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 6
SEND ME was doing his best work late over 1600m on this course last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day caught the eye. The change of headgear seems to have done the trick and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he may be the one to beat.
RODRIGUEZ is better than his last start over 2000m on the polytrack. His penultimate run when second over 1600m on this course catches the eye. If finding the form of that run, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
NOCTURNAL FLIGHT finished 1.4 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
Race 7
RIVERSTONE stayed on when fifth at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts over this distance. Apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto takes the 4kgs off his back which will assist his cause. The son of The United States will be mowing down the frontrunners.
CAPTAIN’S CHRISTY was running on when second over 1100m on this course last time. If getting away to a clean start, she should give the males a run for their money.

POURSOMESUGARONME has consistent form lines to her credit. She was running on when second over this distance on the polytrack last time. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
TWO G’S returns from a 14-week break and is having her first run in KZN. The daughter of Master Of My Fate has plenty of scope and if fit, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest
