DOCTOR‘S ORDERS should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the closing stages. The daughter of Capetown Noir will love the rise to 1900m and if keeping on a straight line, she should go close to winning.
Race 2
SOVEREIGN STATE was ultra-impressive when winning on debut over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He lost 3 lengths leaving the start, switched for running room at the 250m mark and got up where it matters most. The son of Visionaire could be anything and if suited to the polytrack, he can remain unbeaten.
MEXICAN PETE won a good race on debut over 1400m on this course. He found betting support that day which suggests that he was showing good work at home. The son of Master Of My Fate will love the rise to the mile and merits healthy respect.
PURPLENINJATURTLE followed up his maiden victory with a good third-place finish over 1700m on this course. He raced from a handy position that day and stayed on at the finish. The son of Time Thief may be the one to spoil the Robinson party
Race 3
SECRET WINX showed some improvement in her last start over this C&D. She raced from a handy position, but lacked extra in the latter stages. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. The cheekpieces will be fitted which should keep her mind on the task at hand. She is a progressive type and can shed her maiden tag.
WHEN EVENING COMES should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was switched for running room at the 350m mark and she hung in the closing stages. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces
DRESSEDTOTHENINES was in need of her comeback run over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. Her penultimate run when fourth over 1000m on this course, was encouraging. Richard Fourie takes the ride and she should strip a much fitter horse.

EMPRESS GAME has produced three decent efforts to date. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last outing has come out and won since. COTTON RON finished 1.7 lengths behind VICTOR RAIL last time. He is 5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If not in need of this run, he should pose a threat
VICTOR RAIL has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has finished second twice and third once from four starts over this C&D. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.
Race 5
PREEMPTIVE STRIKE is one of the better bets on the programme. He has some good recent form lines to his credit. He has won twice, finished second once and third twice from eight starts over this C&D. The 6yo gelding meets the right field today and he can notch up his fourth career victory.
GIMME A RAINBOW is better than his last start at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He has won five times, finished second twice and third once from thirteen starts over this C&D. On his best form shown, he can cause an upset.
FINAL DESTINY was running on when second over 1400m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should earn a cheque.
Race 6
VOLDEMORT ran on powerfully when winning his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has changed stables since the victory. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Kobeli Lihaba which will help his cause.
RALPH THE RASCAL is honest and always gives of his best. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last start has come out and won since. He finished 2.95 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
STRAIGHT UP has been taking on slightly stronger in recent outings. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. If the distance is not on the sharp side, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

FORT J’ADORE set her own fractions up front last time and kept finding to hold all challengers at bay. The cheekpieces have done the trick and she can follow up with another victory.
POURSOMESUGARONME finished 2.35 lengths behind STAR CHOICE last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.
STAR CHOICE ran on strongly when winning her last start over 1200m on this course. She is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 8
MOUNTAINSOFTHEMOON is progressive and won a good race when shedding her maiden tag over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will love the rise to the mile. The daughter of Pathfork takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand
