The popular AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro Am is where the PGA Tour heads this week and a strong field will have to navigate 3 courses if they wish to take the title.
The Format and Courses
The event is played over 3 courses with the top 60 players and ties taking part in the final round on Sunday
Pebble Beach par 72 – short with wide fairways but tight greens and exposed to the elements
Spyglass Hill par 72 – tree lined and so offers some protection from the wind but can be a stern test
Monterey Peninsula par 70 – large greens and generally plays the easiest of the 3 courses
The winner will quite likely be a player who is good at links golf and despite the Pro Am format, the cream often rises to the top and there have been some great players win here over the years.
Patrick Cantlay is the current market leader at 8/1 with Daniel Berger second favourite at 14/1, you can get 18/1 about the in form Will Zalatoris with Jordan Spieth and Jason Day both trading at 20/1.

Jason Day each way at 20/1
Jason Day has an excellent record at Coastal Links tracks and in his last 7 appearances he has finished inside the Top 10 six times and 5 of those were Top 5 finishes. Day’s game looked in good shape last week where he finished 3rd.
Kevin Streelman each way at 50/1
Streelman has made a slow start to the year with a missed cut followed by a Top 40 finish last week. He clearly loves this Tournament though and has finished Top 20 in his last 6 starts with a runner-up finish and a pair of Top 10’s to his credit. You get the feeling Streelman is building towards a big performance and it could come this week.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout each way at 55/1
I always enjoy having a South African in my 4 ball and although Bezuidenhout hasn’t played this event before being from South Africa, playing on the European Tour he is well versed in playing golf at Coastal Links courses.
He hasn’t shot the lights out in 2022 yet with one Top 20 finish and a couple of cuts made and I will admit there is a bit of patriotism sticking him into the staking plan this week.
Nate Lashley each way at 225/1
Nate is my rank outsider this week and given he has missed 2 consecutive cuts I am basing it purely on his course form as he finished 5th in this event last year.
Kevin Kisner each way at 50/1
I am going to allow myself a 5th player this week because Nate Lashley was purely a speculative go at a massive price. Kisner hasn’t played for a couple of weeks, but he had back-to-back Top 10 finishes including a 3rd place and while his course form here isn’t great he does have a Top 10 finish to his credit back in 2017 and some pretty solid performances since then.
