BettingDiaryThere is plenty of midweek English Premier League action to look forward to and we take a look at 2 of Tuesday’s games from a betting angle.

Let’s start like we usually do with an update on the English Premier League Outright Betting where Manchester City have firmed to 13/20 favourites, Liverpool are 26/10 and you can get 11/2 Chelsea, 80/1 Manchester United and 200/1 and better the balance.

BRENTFORD v MANCHESTER UNITED

Brentford are sitting 10th on the table and they came from behind to beat Watford 2-1 at home last time out. They had previously drawn 2-2 away at Leeds and overall at home this season they have played 8, won 3, drawn 1 and lost 4. Brentford home matches have been fairly low scoring averaging 2.5 goals each with a 50% split between under and over 2.5 goals.

Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 4 starts and have won 3 in a row, most recently beating Norwich 1-0 on the road, prior to that they edged past Crystal Palace 1-0 at home. They have played 8 away matches with 4 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses and their away games have averaged 2.9 goals each and there has also been a 50/50 split between over and under 2.5 goals.

Brentford 31/10

Draw 28/10

Manchester United 9/10

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 9/10

While Manchester United are not scoring freely at the moment they have tightened up their defence and I am expecting quite a tight encounter here which will hopefully have 2 goals or less in it.

MANCHESTER CITY v LEEDS

Manchester City are firm favourites to defend their title, but they are still involved in an exciting race and lead Liverpool by 1 point and Chelsea by 2. Their recent form is excellent and they have won their last 6 games including beating Wolves 1-0 at home last time out. Overall at home they have won 6 and drawn 1 of their 8 matches and City have only conceded 3 goals in 8 home matches which have averaged a total of 2.6 goals each with 4 of the 8 games delivering profits had you backed over 2.5 goals.

Leeds are 15th on the table and have only won 1 of their last 6 matches. Last time out they lost 3-2 away at Chelsea, prior to that drew 2-2 at home to Brentford. Leeds have won 1 and drawn 3 of their 8 matches on the road and those 8 games have averaged 2.8 goals each with a 50/50 split between over and under 2.5 goals.

Leeds won this fixture 2-1 last season and they also played to a draw at Manchester City the season before.

Manchester City 1/7

Draw 31/4

Leeds 18/1

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 13/10

I am taking on the Manchester City defence here which is why I am getting above the money on this bet. Leeds look to be scoring quite freely and managed 2 goals at Stamford Bridge last time out and the both head-to-head matches between the sides last season saw both teams scoring.
