The problem with covering these games on a Thursday night is that the handicaps tend to move dramatically after team news, with teams been announced 1.00 pm South African time.
Last weekend was just one of those weeks we have as punters, it could have been a profitable one, but small margins saw me finish behind the bookmakers.
I actually had a nice win on Boks over 28.5 points against Argentina, but that was damage repair after the Newsletter Best Bet of Lions over 20.5 points went up in smoke. It was a frustrating match as the Lions had plenty of opportunities and they frankly don’t look very well coached. If losing that bet was a disappointment so was missing out on the 11/2 ACCA which fell when over 50.5 points lost in the Edinburgh v Dragons match. The score was 44-6 to Edinburgh with a big chunk of the final quarter still to play and I couldn’t believe we didn’t get another point.
THE HANDICAP
Anyway enough harping on the PAST let’s move on to what should be a thrilling rugby weekend. I was joined by Harry, @OraclePedia and The Conductor on last night’s Rugby Betting Show, THE HANDICAP and the main focus was, of course, on the Rugby Championship where there was generally quite a bit of alignment between the panelists.
It was a marathon show and I had a hard close after 75 minutes to take my son to a Matric Dance after party so poor old The Conductor, a good few beers in, had to talk at an incredible speed to squeeze the NPC into the final minutes of the show.

POINTS TO FLOW LIKE BEER AT THE DANIE CRAVEN
Over 50.5 in New Zealand v Australia was going to be the best bet but since posting the preview and last nights show the line has moved to 53.5. I now prefer Aussie points at 17.5 however will include that in an acca to be posted in the forum later
My best bet is now over 47.5 points in Stellenbosch where the students should be in party mode and there should be a great atmosphere.

THE DOG HOUSE
Those who know me will know I have always enjoyed a flutter at the Casino although have given up for many years. I have been keeping a close eye on some of the betting games available on the various bookmakers’ websites and we decided to start a new YouTube Channel, Goodforthegame Casino to tap into this market.
Angela, a student, has been brought on board to do some video previews and she opened her account this week with the Dog House, a Hollywoodbets game. We purposely kept the channel separate as we did not want to bombard rugby punters with Casino videos, but if you do enjoy an online flutter subscribe to the new channel and let us know any suggestions going forward.
