These sides played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg with Villarreal coming back from conceding an early goal to grab the draw.

LILLE v CHELSEA
Chelsea were too good for Lille at Stamford Bridge and take a 2-0 lead into the away leg.
Lille’s home record in the group stages was 1 win and 2 draws and there was only 1 goal scored across the 3 games and that was in their victory over Salzburg. Lille have been in good form in the League and have taken 7 points from the last 9 they have played for and on the weekend they played to a goalless draw at home to St Etienne, a result they would have been disappointed with having started as 7/10 favourites.
Chelsea were in action on Sunday beating Newcastle 1-0 at home for their 5th successive League victory. Chelsea played 3 matches on the road in the group stages of the Champions League losing 1-0 away to Juventus before bouncing back to beat Malmo 1-0 and draw 3-3 with Zenit.
