warriorst20Kingsmead, Durban is the venue for Wednesday’s televised action in the CSA T20 Challenge as the Dolphins clash with the Warriors

Dolphins:

The Dolphins have a record of 1 win, 2 defeats and 1 no result to show for their efforts so far. In their most recent outing they were beaten by 8 runs away to the Cobras, coming up short in a chase of 153 for victory despite 53 from Zondo and a blitz of 47 runs off just 23 balls from Frylink at the death.

The Dolphins started their campaign with a 4 wicket home win over the Knights before another home fixture against the Lions saw them beaten by 18 runs and their scheduled visit to the Titans was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

This was how the Dolphins lined up against the Cobras last time out:

Sarel Erwee, Morne van Wyk (wk), Cody Chetty, Khaya Zondo (capt), Marques Ackerman, Sibonelo Makhanya, Robbie Frylinck, Keshav Maharaj, Prenelan Subrayen, Lwandiswa Zuma, Daryn Dupavillon.

Warriors:

The Warriors were frustrated by rain in a home fixture against the Lions in East London on Sunday. They were in trouble early but Marais crashed 82 off just 33 balls including 8 maximums and the Warriors were 155/5 with 8 balls remaining when the rain came and no further play was possible.

The Warriors started their tournament with a 4 run (DLS) upset win away to the Titans where they conceded 216 runs bowling first and they were 60 without loss after 6 overs when play was halted for a second time. A wet outfield in their subsequent visit to the Knights in Kimberley saw the game abandoned without a ball being bowled and in their third outing they went down by 7 wickets away to the Cobras.

This was how the Warriors lined up last time out.

Jon-Jon Smuts (capt), Andrew Birch, Matthew Breetzke, Gihahn Cloete, Jade de Klerk, Marco Marais, Lesiba Ngoepe, Sinethemba Qeshile, Sisanda Magala, Lutho Sipamla, Onke Nyaku.

Verdict:

The betting looks about right given both sides have just the 1 win and bad weather has been a factor in their tournament so far. However slight preference is for the Warriors who might just have a trump card in the shape of Marais.

Suggested Bet: Warriors to win at 9/10
