newsletterThe latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend of 31st July to 2nd August

Having looked like running out comfortable winners at one point, the Blues just held on to defeat the Chiefs by 4 last week and unfortunately our handicap bet was consigned to the scrapheap.

With the English Premier League having been completed it is rather quiet this weekend, but we do of course have the 4 Rugby games as well as the FA Cup final and cycling fans can start to get excited as the Tour de France is only a month away and tomorrows live televised one day race, The Strade Bianche is a must watch with plenty of short steep climbs, many of them on gravel.

This week’s Citizen article powered by Playabets is one for the cycling punters.

BACK THE WILD HORSES

On to Rugby and we had another great edition of the THE HANDICAP “Rugby chat that matters” last night and @ThoughtsOnSports was very bullish about overs in the opening game between the Force and the Rebels and this was well and truly rubber stamped by @Son_of_a_Punt and I was happy to run with the bet of over 45.5 points at 8/10 at Sporting Bet in the Goodforthegame Preview

That won’t be the best bet of the weekend though and there are two reasons, firstly by the time you read this Newsletter the game may be close to starting and secondly,  @HanrickSwart appeared very confident about his Brumbies handicap selection last night.  The Brumbies haven't fired on all cylinders this season, but they did beat the Force by 24 points last week and are always a different beast in Canberra.

Best Bet:  6 units Brumbies -5.5 at 17/20 at Sunbet
