Premier League Matchday 8 Preview

The Premier League is bringing us a full slate of mouth-watering games this weekend – here are the 3 games we`ve got our eyes on!

Manchester United vs. Brentford Preview

Having lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace, the Red Devils will be looking to bounce back from their worst-ever start to the Premier League campaign. United fell apart in the Champions League with a 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray. The hosts have lost 6/10 games this season, with a ‘fortified’ Old Trafford now a lost concept. Although it`s hard to see them losing to Brentford, they will likely concede more goals in their current form.

Brentford themselves are in a sticky patch, having failed to win in their last 5 in all competitions and are now in 14th place with 7 points. Their last 2 trips to Old Trafford ended in 2 consecutive defeats, however, they did manage to beat United 4-0 last summer on their own turf. The most important factor here is United`s atrocious backline, therefore, we expect both teams to score, but Man United to scrape a win. BET HERE

West Ham vs. Newcastle

The Hammers continued their impressive form with a 2-1 victory over Freiburg – tallying 8 unbeaten games out of 10 in all competitions. Although the confidence is high, the Hammers` last victory against Newcastle in London was in 2019, with Newcastle picking up 5 goals on their last trip to the London Stadium.

Newcastle blew PSG out of the water in a 4-1 victory – their 6 consecutive games without a defeat. The Magpies have been incredible in defence, having conceded just 1 goal in their last 6 games. As mentioned, their last trip to West Ham was a success, a considering their high-scoring form we are likely to see another strong performance. Although West Ham is in good form, the Magpies showed an elite level of football in mid-week, therefore, we expect Newcastle to win and over 2.5 goals. BET HERE

Arsenal vs. Manchester City

The Gunners lost their 11-game unbeaten run in their 2-1 defeat to Lens in the UCL. Arsenal go into the fixture yet to take a loss in the Premier League this season and have already taken a penalty victory over City in the Community Shield. However, they are yet to beat Guardiola-led City in the EPL and have failed to get the best on the Manchester side in 15 consecutive Premier League games.

Man City recovered from consecutive losses to Newcastle and Wolves with a 3-1 away victory over Leipzig. The Citizens love an away game against the Gunners, with their last loss at the Emirates in 2015. Both sides are in strong forms, however, Arsenal are yet to prove themselves to be on the same level as City. One thing for certain is that we can expect goals in this game. Therefore, we expect over 2.5 goals, but Manchester City to win. BET HERE
