With Liverpool breathing down their necks and the title race now in full swing, Manchester City are on the road to visit Turf Moor where they will take on Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
Manchester City
The Citizens have let a comfortable lead in the title race slip to just 1 point. Regardless, Pep`s men have put on some great performances in their recent fixtures losing just 1 Premier League game and scoring 36 goals in their last 14 bouts. They are currently playing without a designated striker, however, their options in the midfield and out wide have created and put away more than enough chances so far this season. Just like their opposition in Liverpool they are facing a team that are battling relegation and it is difficult to see the Manchester outfit dropping points.
Burnley
We can all agree Sean Dyche`s side has been less than convincing this season. Going into Saturday`s fixture Burnley have failed to score or keep a clean sheet in their last 3 league clashes, which is unlikely to change against the current league chasers. The one thing to take into consideration is the Clarets can sit back and get numbers behind the ball. Even if that does happen, I do not see them being able to catch the Citizens on a counter and for me all the signs are pointing to another Pep victory.
Verdict
In their last 3 Premier League defeats Burnley have managed to go into the half-time at 0-0 so it might take extra effort for City to break them down early. Nevertheless, I do not see Burnley managing to have a foothold in this clash and eventually they will crumble under the constant bombardment from the Manchester side.
