It’s the last weekend of regular season action in the BBL this weekend. Here’s where I am heading from a betting perspective for Saturday’s matches.
Melbourne Renegades vs Brisbane Heat @ 07:05 Melbourne
The hapless Renegades somehow stumbled over the line against their Melbourne rivals on Wednesday and they will be looking to now kick on and finish the season with a bang. The Heat quite simply have to win both their remaining games to make it to the semi’s. The visitors have welcomed back Marnus Loos-bus-Change to their line-up and will hope he can help Chris Lynn with the heavy lifting. On the bowling front Mitchell Swepson comes back from international duty. McKenzie Harvey dashed to glory last time out but the Renegades are still waiting on their high profile opening pair of Marsh and Finch to stop firing blanks.

Top Renegades Batsman – Jake Fraser-McGurk @ 6.50
We got lucky with Harvey last time out as I was cursing the Renegades decision-makers for dropping him down to six. I won’t take the same chance again – I’ll skip the openers and have a go at the number four at a rather juicy price.
Top Renegades Bowler – Peter Hatzoglou @ 4.50
I see no reason to change my train of thought here. The leggy was a touch unlucky in the previous match and still only missed out for us on run-rate.
Top Heat Bowler – Mitchell Swepson @ 4.50
Nathan Ellis and Jye Richardson enjoyed themselves at the Docklands Stadium on Friday but I still felt the spin bowlers held the most threat. Swepson should be better than in his previous outing having spent a lot of time in the nets of late rather than out on the park.
Man of the Match – Marnus Labuschagne @ 11.00
Quality cricketer in good form at present batting at the top of the order for the team I fancy to win the game. Enough said.
