IPL: Qualifier 1 & Eliminator

We now have only four teams left in the mix and by Friday evening it will be only three and we will also know who is in the final. Let’s have a look at the first Qualifier as well as the Eliminator of Thursday and Friday respectively.

Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals, Thursday 05 November – DSC Dubai

Delhi could have secured their spot in the finals a week or two ago but instead stumbled their way into the top two with only one victory from their last handful of games. Mumbai on the other hand looked solid throughout but then opted to rest a few key players in their last outing and now find themselves coming into this Qualifier off the back of a ten-wicket beating at the hands of the Sunrisers.

Betolimp Bets:

Top Delhi Batsman – S Iyer @ 4.50

The top order came good against RCB but I still have my concerns. The skipper has struggled somewhat of late but he will be keen to lead the charge when there is a spot in the Final up for grabs.

Top Mumbai Batsman – S Yadav @ 5.00

Rohit is only recently back from injury and De Kock is always free spirited at the top. Yadav has found his groove of late and I will back him to perform at a nice price.

Player to score the most Sixes – K Pollard @ 6.00

The big Windies all rounder has been in good touch and hitting it LARGE this IPL. I will put some money behind Pollard continuing with this hitting form.

Man of the Match – JJ Bumrah @ 11.00

I am going back to the well again with Bumrah. He is one of the best death bowlers in world cricket and is fresh off a rest. I expect the Indian international to lead the charge for his side.

Mumbai Total Match Sixes – Over 6.5 @ 1.80

The entire batting order of the Indians are realistic six hitting options. I see them collecting plenty of maximums despite playing against a good bowling attack.

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, Friday 06 Nov – DSC Dubai

SRH sneaked into the top four with a strong ten wicket win over Mumbai in their final match. RCB on the other hand failed to impress against Delhi but kept things tidy enough in losing to secure a fourth spot. Worryingly for Bangalore they also recently came up well short against this same opponent.

Betolimp Bets:

Best RCB Batsman – D Padikkal @ 4.00

I have been impressed by Padikkal’s efforts at the top of the order since RCB opted to make the switch. All eyes will be on Kohli and AB but I think the opener has a decent shot in this market.

To score a fifty in the match – David Warner @ 3.00

Warner has been in fine form of late and on the big occasion he will be keen to lead his side strongly.

Man of the Match – Rashid Khan @ 11.00

Khan continues to be a tough prospect to face. If RCB are in a position where they have to attack Rashid he could be devastating. I am also expecting a SRH victory so the leggie fits the bill on that front as well.

To win the game – Sunrisers @ 1.77

SRH have all the momentum at the moment and seem to have found the right balance to their squad. Yes, if De Villiers comes off he could seal the game on his own, but Hyderabad are the safer pick and I see them doing it rather comfortably.
