The Rabbitohs and Panthers never wavered but the Warriors let me down badly and there was no pick-me-up from the exotics either. After sitting quietly in my corner during a reflective Sunday I am however ready to get straight back onto that horse - and ride it all the way to the grand prize!

The poor Broncos have had a tough time of things again this year and now have to get ready to receive the high-flying Penrith. Like the parents on the eve of hosting their son’s 21st – it’s all but a given that things are going to get awkward, uncomfortable, messy and possibly lead to a family embarrassment.
NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS vs CRONULLA SHARKS – Fri 16 Apr @ 10:00, Newcastle
The Knights received a spanking worthy of a petty thief rather noble knight last week. The Sharks for their part were all over the Roosters for an hour only to fall victim of a dramatic comeback by the Tricolors. I wouldn’t take too much away from Cronulla after a mostly impressive outing against the Chooks whilst the Knights leave me with about as much confidence as the South African cricket team. It’s Sharks all day for me despite the Newcastle side having Ponga, Mann and Bradman Best back this week.
MELBOURNE STORM vs SYDNEY ROOSTERS – Fri 16 Apr @ 11:55, Melbourne
The Roosters pulled off the Houdini escape last Saturday whilst it was a seal clubbing excursion for the Storm as they battered the Bulldogs. The inexperienced spine of the Roosters will be found out in this clash against the clinical Melbourne.

In my opinion the Storm are comfortably two scores better than the Roosters at present.
