Good Friday weekend was anything but good to us with the Rebels the big culprits as they let a 20-7 half time lead slip and dump us into the red. Things got worse when the Stormers failed to deliver in Cape Town. In need of turning things around let’s see if we can find some value this week with the markets offered from the guys at BETOLIMP.

Crusaders vs Lions(Friday @ 09:35)

It’s a case of entering the lion’s den… For the Lions! The Saders are yet to have their full strength team do duty but they have hardly needed all their merry men to put all comers to the sword this season. The Lions come off a good win over the Chiefs and have skipper Whiteley back at the helm but are missing their coach as well as Marx.

Verdict: The handicap seems well set for this one and I will look elsewhere for an interest on this one.

BETOLIMP Special Bet: First Tryscorer – G Bridge @ 8.30

Sunwolves vs Highlanders(Friday @ 12:00)

Week in and week out people are underestimating this Sunwolves team. Last week they duly delivered on the cap in Tokyo and this week they have been shortened a bit against a Highlander side who hung on well to eventually put the Blues to bed. It is again Ben’s turn to sit out this week but Aaron returns to starting duty.

Verdict: The Sunwolves should give a good account of themselves, especially early doors but the visitors will know that this is no easy assignment. I will nibble on the visitors to hold a narrow lead at the break.

Best Bet: Highlanders to lead at half time by 1-7 points @ 3.16 with BETOLIMP (Bronze Medal level of confidence)

BETOLIMP Special Bet: Last Tryscorer – Shannon Frizell @ 13.70

Hurricanes vs Chiefs (Saturday @ 09:35)

Rather than the match later on at Newlands I believe this to be the game of the weekend. The Kiwi derbies have offered plenty of entertainment and this one should be no different. The Chiefs come into this clash looking to prove they are not a one-trick pony without D-Mac. The men from Hamilton welcome back the likes of Nathan Harris and Solomon Alaimalo yet Brodie is still missing. The Canes struggled their way past the Wolves but should be well up for this one with the Barrett’s back on duty along with Ardie Savea.

Verdict: I’ve been on the wrong side of a few Kiwi derbies but this time I’m reverting back to the home team taking the narrow win.

Best Bet (Special): Hurricanes to win by 1-12 points (Silver Medal level) @ 3.20

Waratahs vs Sharks (Saturday @ 11:45)

Verdict: Who knows what to expect from these two unpredictable teams. The value for me lies with going for something a touch more speculative.

Best Bet: HT/FT – Sharks/Waratahs @ 10.05 with BETOLIMP (Speculative)

Stormers vs Bulls (Saturday @ 15:05)

The Stormers got humiliated in the reverse fixture and will be keen on turning the tables. The Bulls for their part were poor coming back from a bye last time out but are currently the more complete team than their hosts.

Verdict: The Stormers have been tough to call right but I just feel the visitors are the better balanced team and will take a narrow victory at Newlands.

Best Bet (Special): Bulls to win by 1-12 points @ 3.00 with BETOLIMP (Bronze)

Jaguares vs Brumbies (Saturday @ 23:40)

Verdict: The Brumbies started fast and were then able to hang in the contest to pick up a surprise win over the Stormers. The Jags have had a rest after a particularly fruitful trip to the Republic. For mind the South Americans are hitting their straps and should take care of business against an Australian team who have done some traveling.

Best Bet: Jaguares to beat the handicap of -4.5 @ 1.88with BETOLIMP (Silver medal bet)
