With the first two matches completed in Group B it’s onto the Warriors and the Cobras doing battle to round of the first half of action in this group.

For the Lions it has been a breeze thus far as they find themselves sitting pretty with a perfect record after 2 outings. The loser on Wednesday might as well head to the shops and stock up on some popcorn as they will be likely relegated to merely watching the rest of the comp unfold without them in the mix.
The Warriors did a good job with the ball but wet the bed when it came to second part of their job. The double failure of their stars, Smuts and Second left them well and truly behind the eight ball and that can’t happen again if the Eastern Cape side want to stay in the mix. The Cobras on the other hand gave their wicket away at crucial times and never put themselves in a good position to put enough runs on the board.
With 220 being the top score from the three completed innings thus far the Senwes Park pitch has proven tough for the batsmen to conquer as quality stroke-play has been hard to come by.

Top Warriors Batsman – R Second @ 5.00
Backing a man who made zero in the previous match sounds a touch daft but Second is first on my list due to him being a seasoned local performer and I like that he is batting at number four.
Top Cobras Bowler – S Mahima @ 5.50
Mahima delivered for us in the opener and I see no reason to abandon this ship. The youngster should take plenty of confidence form his first outing.
Top Warriors Bowler – JJ Smuts @ 5.00
Jon-jon’s offies look about as potent as non-alcoholic beer yet against his domestic peers they often prove to be just the right tonic to snare a number of scalps.
Top Cobras Batsman – C Jonker @ 7.50
Jonker looked rather rusty in his return to the crease last time out. He did however show glimpses of his big-hitting ability. In a lowish total (and with the top order potentially failing) a late cameo could just prove good enough to make this pick a winner at a juicy price.
