Leg 1 Southampton v Everton
After losing their first 2 matches Southampton have taken 7 points from the last 9 available and there was plenty to like about the way they twice came from behind to snatch a 3-3 draw at Chelsea last week. Two home games so far produced a second half collapse in a 5-2 defeat to Spurs and a 2-0 win over West Brom who offered little goal threat.
Everton's 100% record ended last week when they drew 2-2 with Liverpool but they still finished the round top of the log. They started with a 1-0 win at Spurs and since then the goals have generally been flowing including games against West Brom (5-2) and Brighton (4-2).
We start with a total goals pick and we have this game booked as over 2.5.

Leg 2 Wolves v Newcastle
It's been hit and miss for Wolves this season but after a very decent 1-0 victory at Leeds on Monday they now have a record of 3 wins and 2 defeats. They have found the net in 4 of their 5 league games so far and at home they have beaten Fulham 1-0 and lost to Manchester City 3-1.
Newcastle were beaten 4-1 at home by Manchester United last weekend and their record comprises of 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. Away from home they have beaten West Ham 2-0 and drawn 1-1 with Spurs and they have also found the net in 4 of their 5 matches.
Last season both meetings finished 1-1 and although the both teams to score outcome has been scarce in Wolves matches in the current campaign, gut feel is both sides have a goal in them.

Leg 3 Arsenal v Leicester
We finish in London with an attractive clash between Arsenal and Leicester who finished the previous round in fourth and fifth in the standings. The Gunners lost at Manchester City last week and they were also beaten at Liverpool earlier in the campaign. That aside they have won 3 times including home games against West Ham and Sheffield United (both 2-1).
After starting with 3 excellent wins Leicester have gone off the boil and they come into the game on the back of successive home defeats to West Ham (3-0) and Aston Villa (1-0). It's hard to gauge exactly what has gone wrong either side of the international break and this is no easy task given Arsenal have been pretty solid at home since Arteta took over as coach.
Preference is for the home side to edge this one.
