The Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina is the venue for this weekend’s PGA Tour event and while we won’t have any crowds to cheer the players home it promises to be an exciting one for punters and fans alike.

Harbour Town Golf Links is a par 71 layout and as you expect from links courses the wind can be a major factor. The course has small greens meaning accuracy into them is important as is the ability to scramble for par. While distance off the tee is always an advantage it is not necessarily a prerequisite for victory here.

We had mixed fortunes last week with Bryson Dechambeau finishing strongly to deliver each way returns, but we were a bit disappointed with Jordan Spieth who faded in the 4^th round having been in contention.

This week Rory McIlroy tops the board at 13/1, almost double the price he started last week at the Charles Schwab. Rory hasn’t played this course in many years and he is rather erratic driving could cost him. Second in the betting is Justin Thomas, who was also wayward off the tee last week which is something he would have to rectify here. Thomas is 16/1 and also 16/1 is Bryson Dechambeau, but more about him in our selections and Jon Rahm is 20/1 with the balance on offer at 25/1 and better.

Bryson Dechambeau each way at 16/1

We were on Bryson each way at 18/1 last week and he delivered with a Top 5 finish, his 4^th in succession on the PGA Tour, all be it there was a 14 week gap between his 3^rd and his 4^th. He has been a bit of a mixed bag at this course with 2 Top 5 finishes and two missed cuts, but based on his current form I can see him going really close this week.

Matt Kuchar each way at 45/1

Kuchar was disappointing last week when he missed the cut, but he has excellent course form here including a runner-up finish last year and in the last 6 years he has had 3 Top 5 finishes, a Top 10, A Top 15 and a Top 25. He has never been my favourite player, but if he delivers this week at these odds he will certainly find himself moving up the list.

Louis Oosthuizen each way at 70/1

Yes, I am a bit biased towards Louis because he is South African and he didn’t exactly set things alight last week with a finish just outside the Top 50. There also isn’t tons of course form to go on, butt looking back a few years, in 2015 he finished Top 10 here and hasn’t returned since. Louis’s game should be perfectly suited to this venue.

Ian Poulter each way at 80/1

Poulter has some very impressive form at Hilton Head and in the last 3 years his worst finishing position has been 11^th. Admittedly he has failed to crack the Top 5 though. He looked solid enough last week with a Top 30 finish and at these prices I am happy to include him in my staking plan.
