JAMAHAL HILL vs KHALIL ROUNTREE JR

Light Heavyweight Main Event:

Jamahal Hill, an American fighter known for his knockout power and endurance, has been part of the UFC roster for just over five years. During this time, he has compiled a record of 6 wins, 3 losses, and 1 no contest. Between 2021 and early 2023, Hill went on an impressive four-fight winning streak, culminating in a title victory. However, he has since suffered back-to-back knockout losses, with the most recent coming against Jiri Prochazka, who stopped him in the third round.

Khalil Rountree Jr, also fighting out of the USA, is a powerful striker with the ability to finish fights early but also proven durability when going the distance. Active in the UFC since 2016, Rountree has built up significant experience, posting a record of 9 wins, 5 losses, and 1 no contest across 15 appearances. His most recent outing was against reigning champion Alex Pereira in October, where he put in a determined performance before ultimately being stopped via TKO in the fourth round. Prior to that, Rountree was riding a five-fight unbeaten streak.

Hill 1.95

Rountree Jr 1.90

PREDICTION:

Although the betting odds are fairly even, I believe Rountree Jr will have the edge in this matchup. His power and recent form suggest he’ll have enough in the tank to get the job done with a late knockout.

RAFAEL FIZIEV vs IGNACIO BAHAMONDES

Lightweight Co-Main Event:

Rafael Fiziev, originally from Azerbaijan, is a high-level striker known for his precision and athleticism. He made his UFC debut in 2019 with a loss but quickly bounced back with six consecutive victories. However, he has since faced a rough patch, losing his last three bouts. Despite the results, Fiziev has remained competitive against elite opponents. His most recent fight came in March, when he took on Justin Gaethje on short notice and lost via decision—his second defeat to Gaethje.

Ignacio Bahamondes is a well-rounded Chilean mixed martial artist who has steadily built his reputation in the UFC. Across eight appearances, he has claimed six wins and suffered two defeats. Bahamondes is a threat in all areas of the fight game, having secured three wins by knockout, two by submission, and one by decision. His most recent outing was in March, when he submitted Jalin Turner in the first round—a result that further showcased his finishing ability.

Fiziev 2.10

Bahamondes 1.80

PREDICTION:

Despite coming into this fight on a three-fight losing streak, I believe Fiziev has the experience and striking discipline to go the distance with Bahamondes. As the underdog, he offers solid value to edge out a win by decision.

CURTIS BLAYDES vs RIZVAN KUNIEV

Heavyweight Bout:

Curtis Blaydes is a seasoned American heavyweight known for his wrestling strength and raw power. He has competed against some of the biggest names in the division and currently holds a professional record of 13 wins, 5 losses, and 1 no contest. Blaydes has won four of his last six fights, though his most recent outing ended in a first-round knockout loss to Tom Aspinall in a title bout held in July last year.

Rizvan Kuniev, fighting out of Russia, is set to make his official UFC debut this weekend after earning his contract with an impressive knockout win over Hugo Cunha in his second Contender Series appearance. Undefeated since 2017, Kuniev is currently riding a 10-fight winning streak, with one of those bouts ruled a no contest. He enters the UFC with momentum and plenty of hype.

Blaydes 1.40

Kuniev 3.10

PREDICTION:

Although Kuniev has shown he's a rising threat and shouldn’t be underestimated, I believe Blaydes’ experience at the highest level will be the difference. With his power and durability, he should be able to weather the early storm and secure a late knockout victory on Saturday.
